TUATHA DE DANANN
Following thier defeat by the Milesians, those of the Tuatha de Danann who decided to stay in Ireland made thier homes under the hollow hills or "Raths' where they became the Daoine Sidhe. The Tuatha de Danann were origianlly gigantic but in the course of time and with the encrochment of Christianity as they dimminished in importance, they correspindingly dwindled in size.

The most important member of the Daoine Sidhe today is Finvarra, the High King of the Irish faeries who is also thought by some to be the king of the dead. He still holds court in his palace beneath the faerie hill of Knockma
