Thorem spends a lot of time developing many types of skills, which, aside from his dying a lot (his dad says, repeat after me, I am NOT a tank, I am NOT a tank - but he plays as a tank sometimes and he gets tanked), explains why he is not a higher level. But if there was ever someone who would help anyone in a time of need, or travel to meet someone, it is this guy. And since he is having fun, is that not why we play this game?
