I am Kalea, the daughter of Lady Zanexious and Sir Elgin (since past). When my father passed away, my mother, the Lady Zanexious learned how much her husband's family disliked her. They forced my mother, my brothers, sisters and me out to the forest to fend for ourselves. Lady Zanexious had to become a warrior, to hunt for food and protect her family. Survival now became the priority in our previously excessive lives. My mother would go out for days and returned home injured with barely enough food for us to live on. She tried her best to care for us but, no healer was around when she returned to our forest home hurt and bleeding. Many times mother was on the edge of deaths door with only our prayers to pull her through.
As I grew older, I listened to all the tales of medicine men, healers and wizards that were all that kept the elders interested in life. I learned from them and gathered any books I could find from my fathers belongings that my mother was able to take with us. I am learning to care for her as well as hunt.
My sights are high. I will be a
healer, be able to hunt, protect and heal my family and friends whenever I am
needed. I am still learning my trade and will continue to learn for years to
come.
