Hail all, I am Aknar. Allow me to
introduce myself and my many great accomplishments achieved and yet to come!
As a child gifted with great intelligence, I Aknar, took upon the arts Magic in
the superior schools of Erudin. At an exceptionally early age, even for the
astute Erudites, summoning familiars to do my biding came quick to me, and thus
my path was chosen early.
My thirst for knowledge was quite great, due to my advanced intelligence, and
this lead to my desire to explore the world at an early age. Being an orphan I
learned quite well how to take care of myself and set off foot, swim and boat
with my spellbook in hand and my keen wit.
In my younger days I recall my first encounter with a Barbarian I would soon
call friend.
Never one to let others suffer, or to turn my back on a friend or stranger in
need, I had spent my day practicing my new crafts I had just learned that day. I
ran after every evil MOB that was engaged with a human or humanoid and blasted
it to the next plane of existence. Rothus witnessed this and quickly explained
that I should not be so “helpful” as many of these warriors were not in
immediate need of my special talents and were merely trying to gain their own
understanding by their own sword for their own experience.
Rothus asked me to join him. He, Whiteshado and a few others were banding
together to help form a family to fight for a great cause for a great battle yet
to come! My first and only family, how could I refuse?
As I matured, I began to accomplish more great exploits. I could consistently
take-down a monster many times my experience. Many a warning a would receive
about this, but every time the greater combatant won. I would solo a enemy that
many a person of greater years would not think about, but I knew I could win.
The only time I could recall being slightly humbled, was on my 22nd birthday. I
Woolly Mammoth had stomped some snow on my new robe, and refused to apologize.
He, uh, taught me his battle tactics 3 times that night in the span of 30
seconds before I, uh, accepted his apology and returned to the inn for some
hot-chocolate. Things would have turned out different, but this terrible
Everfrost wind had me coughing and sneezing, thus disrupting my own spells! ;-)
Anyways my stubbornness has served me well. I have ventured many time into the
famed Kithicor Forest at night or defeated Gornit the Giant after only 39
seasons! I began my epic quest after only 29 seasons, once again ignoring the
warnings of the many less blessed races that inhabit this world.
My advice to all is to never stop taking risks. I may have a heightened
intellect, a superior wit, and a highly developed mind because I come from an
advanced race, but learn from me. Knowledge is power.
