Braelen

Race:  Human
Class:  Ranger
Religion:  Tunare
Office:  None

Braelen was found as a young child alone, dirty and very lost, wandering the great expanse of Qeynos hills, by a lone man who is assumed to have been a Ranger. He does not remember much of his life before that, but it appears his family (Qwerty his father, qwerty his mother and qwerty and qwerty his brothers) were killed by Blackburrow gnolls that somehow missed him lying in his family's trading cart, or they were possibly scared off by a patrol of Qeynos guards before they found him.  In any event, he survived that tragic day and to this day, wonders if there was a reason he did.

Braelen was brought to Surefall Glade by his savior, the nameless Ranger, and left in the care of the Glade itself, and has grown to be a man of some stature, with a love for nature and great respect for those that have helped him. As he grew up and learned more about the world, he decided he wanted to take on the role of a Ranger and protect nature and those that need
protection from the evils of the world. As his training progressed, he learned more about the world and the evils it holds, especially the gnolls of Blackburrow, and his hatred for them grew.

Though many tried to calm his anger, none succeeded and just before his training was finished he went off alone to pay some vengeance on the gnolls. Leaving with a desire for the genocide of all gnolls, not quite yet a full Ranger and with very little equipment, he went off into Qeynos Hills once again, this time not as a lost little boy but a man with a mission. Since his training was not yet completed, it was very hard for him at first, though he felt very at home in the wilderness, foraging what he could, trading in everything he could find in order to survive and buy equipment. He ran into many creatures, some malevolent and some benign, some beautiful and some frightening, but all in all very diverse and started him wondering about it all.

The first gnoll he ran into, luckily was only a pup, it proved to be quite a challenge but he was victorious, and that spurned his desire for their destruction even more. As time progressed, more and more gnolls in great numbers, and more and more powerful gnolls fell including a few versions of the Splitpaw commander, fell to his swords and bows. He had killed so many gnolls he couldn't count them anymore, and after 18 seasons of hunting gnolls, he finally realized there was a place even for
them in the world and decided it was someone else's turn to fend off the tide.

As he was deciding his vengeance was satisfied he ran into another Ranger and his companions. They were also bent on the destruction of the gnolls, from a group called 'The House of Wargoth', they fought together for a time and became friends.
They invited him to join their ranks. He asked what the 'House' was all about. They explained the story of Wargoth. They
also explained the 'House' principles and code, which suited him quite well since it was what he based his life on, so he decided to join. It was this time in his life when he realized he had learned all the final lessons of his training, though he learned them the hard way, he did as is usual for him, he did it by himself. Maybe now was his time to be part of a group... and this was the group he was supposed to be part of...

He went on to visit the Rangers of Kelethin 'the city of the Elves', and heard about the creatures of Kunark and decided to see even more of the world. He has fought many evil creatures on Norrath, and is still amazed by the size of the world, the
diversity and interdependence of all Tunare's creatures. Braelen does not know his surname, and although he has thought of
taking one he feels it would betray his father, and instead has decided to go with just his first name for the time being.  Maybe one day he'll learn more of his family...
