CHARTER OF THE HOUSE OF WARGOTH
The House of Wargoth is a guild, on the Saryrn server,
made up of heroes of diverse backgrounds and beliefs, spanning all the races
of Norrath. While members of the House of Wargoth may
be disparate in their allegiances to Good and Evil, they are unified under the
banner of Order and Balance. This sacred trust has been handed down
through the
House for many generations, and some of the sentinels who now guard against the
return of Chaos are actually descendants of the brave souls who were present at
the formation of this noble order.
The primary goal of the House is to provide the most
fun and enjoyable experience possible to all of its members. This is
accomplished through guild events, lots of roleplaying, and camaraderie in all
things. However, we would be remiss in our duties if we did not post the
virtues that we hold dear, and the things that are expected of the truly
successful member of our guild.
Members of the House are held to a higher standard than most who populate
Norrath. Our ideals and actions are what make us unique--they define who
we are. It is expected that every member who pledges himself or herself to our
cause will adhere to these principles at all times.
LOYALTY – It should go without
saying that loyalty to the House, and from one
member to another, is required and expected. When one becomes a member of the
great House of Wargoth, all other allegiances become secondary. This is not to say that
members of the House cannot interact with and enjoy the comradeship of those
outside our House. However, when possible,
you should put the interests of the House first and foremost. Loyalty also means
keeping "in-house" matters truly "in-house". There are things that the House may
share, and there are things that the House will not. Be true to your guild, its leaders, and
its members, and know that as a brother or sister of Wargoth, you can always expect the
same in return.
RESPECT – Respect for yourself and
what you stand for is a hallmark of heroes in the House of Wargoth, but
respect for those outside our circle is also of paramount importance. The members of the House of
Wargoth must, at all times, conduct themselves in such a way as to inspire admiration and respect for our
guild. Members should not sully the name of Wargoth in any way to the public in
general. This includes, but is not limited to, indulging in profane,
rude, or hurtful conversation; deliberate attempts to interrupt or interfere in
the actions of others; and, in general, any actions or deeds which may cast the
House or its membership in a bad light.
HONOR – Honor comes in many forms. It could be assisting someone who is in need, at the risk of
your own safety. It can be dealing fairly with someone in a trade of goods or
services. But mostly, it comes down to doing that which you know is fair and
right. It is easy for someone to be honest and forthright when there are many
eyes upon him, but true honor comes from doing the right thing when no one is
watching. You should do these things not for the accolades of others, but
because you would have it no other way.
DUTY – All members of the House of
Wargoth should feel a sense of duty to the House. It is expected that when a
citizen joins us in our cause, he or she will be ready to answer the call when
needed. Participation in the guild by all members is a must if we are to thrive
and grow. While the guild has a duty to provide each member with support,
comradeship, and assistance in many forms, it is also the duty of the member to
give the same in return. It does not benefit the guild if someone reaps the
benefits and privileges of the House, yet chooses to remain silent and alone for
their entire stay. It is also the
duty of all members to adhere to any rules, regulations or guidelines set forth
by and for the guild, and to encourage others to do so as well, thereby
providing a positive, productive, and equal guild for all.
