Undead Archer

Resembling the machine that creates the most death in the mortal realm, the Undead Army employs archers to destroy life at a distance. Undead archers weild the bow with average proficiency, as they did in life. Some have uncanny mastery, while others lack. As Undead they are immune to many forms of attack, such as poison, and highly resistant to cold, fire and lightning. Undead Archers are but shadows of their prior lives and lack feeling or emotion whichn might cause them to cower in fear or follow after the charming creatures of the earth. Being animated they posses the power to pull themselves together if they are not completely destroyed in combat. These skeletal archers archers also move at a slower rate than similarly sized humanoids due to their age and rigidity.

Undead Swordsman

Most corpses which rise from the dead, do so in the form of the common Undead solider. Being dead, they rise and grab whatever weapon they may find. Most commonly, this weapon is the longsword, but hordes have been known to grab the limbs of other dead, sticks or anything with which they can smash things. Undead feel no emotion and it is debatable whether they are really sentient or reasonable, but they inspire fear and dread wherever they go. Like most of their race, undead warriors are immune to many attacks, such as poison, charm, and fear. They are highly resistant to cold, fire and lightning. Being animated, they can take considerable damage and if not completely destroyed, will pull themselves back together after each combat. Skeletal Warriors move at a slower rate than similarly sized humanoids due to their age and rigidity. For the same reason, Undead warriors typically have less power behind each blow than other humanoids.

Undead Bone Ram

The bone-based battering ram can withstand about as much damage as its wooden counterpart. The Ram serves to destroy walls for the Undead with bodies of their victims. The Bone Ram is indistinguishable from other Undead units, held together by the same forces of death. They are superior to machines in that they repair themselves after every combat by literally pulling themselves back together. But, as such, they are affected by a Cleric's Turn Undead ability.

Hell Hound

Hell Hounds are vicious canines of flesh and fire, thought to be the souls of men who betrayed their friends for gain. No longer worthy of their former form and with their minds seared in the flames of hell, they are the dogs of the infernal pits, hunters for greater demons, kicked about, tortured and set loose upon wicked worlds to howl remorse for all eternity. They are resistant to fire. Their bite is white hot and ignites flamable materials. Although these hounds look ferocious and evil and have other-worldly origins, they are not particularly difficult to for a trained warrior to dispatch. Still, should they survive a combat they regenerate quickly. Hell Hounds are not affected by mind spells and fearlessly do their Master's bidding, without question or conscience. Hell Hounds serve demons or powerful wizards, and live wherever the Undead hold dominion.

Uundead Doom Priest

Doom Priests exist because of the Mortal obsession with and inability to reconcile Death. The eventual fate of all mortals being death, these men (almost entirely human) prophesy the end of all things and the eventual death of the world, they share a common dogma with the Undead and in doing they become imbued with Undead abilities. They trade their living breath for the powers of darkness and a chance at immortality amongst the world of decay. Doom Priests are very persuasive in their preaching, often convincing entire groups to join with and submit to the powers of darkness. Doom Priests are immune to poison and often take up snakes or drink venom to impress upon others their godlike power, their followers often do the same and end up joining the Undead in ully dead form. Doom Priests are resistant to fire, lightning, and cold. They are immune to death magic and are so convinced of their cause that they are fearless in their cause.

Undead Knight

Some corpses which are called back from the dead had strong attachments to their steeds, so the Undead raise their dead steeds. These haunted riders feed a staedy stream of stories among common folk, telling of silent riders, missing travellers and the dead speeding along the highways at night. These Undead Knights make a solid addition to any Undead army but are not as powerful as tales would tell. Like Most Undead they are immune to many attacks, such as poison, and highly resistant to cold, fire and lightning. They are fearless, interested only in terror upon the highways. If they survive combat they will regenerate quickly gathering body parts of their victims to replace their damaged bodies.

Undead Skull Thower

The Undead Skull Thrower serves as a catapult in the armies of the dead. But instead of hurling boulders it flings the skulls of undead enemies, enchanted to impact with similar force. Otherwise the Thrower is a catapult, but due to the rigidity of its make, it is not nearly as sturdy. However if not completely destroyed in combat they will regenerate quickly, pulling themselves together to be ready for the next combat. Being Undead masses of dead wood and bone, assemble by dark powers of the Undead, they are like wise susceptible to a Cleric's power to Turn Undead.

Ballista

Although mechanically different from crossbows, ballistas function quite similarly. Ballistas are seige machines are most effectively deployed at long ranges against other units rather than city walls. The javelins are much more accurate and aerodynamic than the boulder of a catapult. Several ballistas can provide excellent cover for catapults and rams attempting to breach a city's outer wall.
Because of their heavy wooden construction, they are slow to move from place to place. These machines are also more fragile than catapults and can be more easily destroyed.

Undead Bone Horror

The Bone Horror is a mass of jagged bones from the Undead victims of all once- living things. The creature resembles a great beast, but the bones of the creature is a mass of natural animals and any other thing it can kill and gather into itself. Animated by the most powerful death magic, these ferocious tangles of death scavenge graveyards, and wherever dead things can be found. They are extremely difficult to destroy for the fact that they regenerate quickly, literally pulling themselves back together after each battle. They move slowly but are so massive that they are resistant to fire, cold and lightning attacks, immune to fear-based attacks, poison and death magic.

Tormentors of souls and servants of hell, Demons are found in the land of the living only in times of great destruction, when the worlds teeter on the brink of destruction. Though formidable in combat, demons are know to be cowardly and perfer to command weaker undead units. Undead Wraith

Wraiths are thought to be powerful spirits, which are of such power as to enter the worl of the living, even without a rift. Oftebn these are spirits of great malevolence, slighted by the realm of the living and obsessed with need for vengence. Even so, being long dead, they may only enter the life realm partially and , as such, are ethereal in nature. They can not be harmed by most forms of attack, and feed upon the living to gain strength in the physical realm. They leech living souls, drawing in their life energies to continue their murderous work upon the world. Wraiths are susceptible to a Cleric's power to Turn Undead, or to magic based attacks.

Necromancer

Necromancers are evil practitioners of black magic. They are able to perform dark rituals causing their enemies to suffer and perish in terrible ways. Most of the undead army has been animated by the necromancers. Through chill touch they can inflict freezing cold on an enemy. They can steal the life force of an opponent - healing themselves. With the ritual of empower they can convert the very life force of themselves into magical energy giving magical and physical protection. Using the rituals of darkness and feign death allows them to conceal in dark wastelands. Over time a necromancer may learn to channel energy through his skull staff - the skull can gaze death on an enemy.

Undead Reaper

The very embodiment of death, The Reaper visits those who are about to die. However, since the Undead have walked the Earth, sightings of the Reaper have occurred more and more frequently, causing many to claim that the entire world is condemned to death. The mere sight of a Reaper inspires terror, This fear is not unwarranted; The Reaper's withering touch kills anything from plant, animal life and higher forms of life. In combat a Reaper may steal the very life from the living to sustain itself.

It is a rare individual who survives an encounter with death, but Reapers are beatable. Little is known to affect the Reaper as well, it is immune to fear, poison, and death attacks and highly resistant to cold and lightning. A damaged Reaper regenerates quickly, giving it ungodly advantages and ability to enter and harvest the living as grain.
