The Demon Hunt (Part Two)

By now, I was just wanting to get the hunt over with so I could spend more time with my new mate. We found an abandoned vampire haven and decided to sleep there for the daylight hours in a small town in Pittsburgh, called Seneca.

After our sleep, we feed from each other a little and then headed out into the town. We were picking up alot of bad feelings about this place. I knew that my search was coming to an end and that the creature that we hunted was hunting us also.

As we searched through the small town taverns, we got a few hints as to where this demon was hiding. He had been slaying both mortal and immortal in a tavern on the edge of town. We had found him, our search was over.

We knew that whatever this demon was, the battle was going to be dangerous for us both. I pleaded with my vampire mate to stay in our new home but she refused telling me, "we either live as one or die as one".

We didn't waste no time and headed straight to place were he'd been spotted. The tavern was surrounded by trees and looked very old. I had come all the way from my home in England and wasn't gonna stop now. I kicked down the tavern doors and slowly walked inside. I told my love to go and take a seat in the darkest corner and just stood there waiting for this demon to show up.

After a few minutes I figured if I'm going to fight to the death I should treat myself to a glass of wine. As I walked to the bar I could hear a heartbeat of a mortal human. I then noticed that hiding behind the bar was a shivering old man, kindof looked like a doctor of some kind. I picked him up and dusted him down, sencing his fear I knew I did not need to worry about him.

I asked him what was he doin here and he started to explain to me that he was a scienctist. That he was held here by somekind of monster, that he had released.

He then showed me a piece of paper. It had writing on it, details about me. It had been written in vampire blood. The Doctor then went on to tell us that the creature was chanting out somekind of spell and he had understood some of the words.

"The Blood God" and "Frost" were the words that he'd heard. I'd heard about this blood god from stories within the Lair. I told the doctor to go and get far as far away from this place as possible. I didn't know much about this blood god but I did know he was very powerful.

Still no sign of the demon we sat there and drank the bar dry of wine. We decided to head to the woods for our daylight sleep.
