DAVID SILVERIA

David Silveria: drums. BIRTHDATE: 9/21/72. BIRTHPLACE: San Leandro, California. As the youngest member of Korn, David has been playing drums since he was 9. In Korn's first home video "Who Then Now," Fieldy recalls when he got a message on his answering machine and a small voice said, "...You guys looking for a drummer?" David loaded up his drums to go play with them, and they haven't left the spot since. David plays on a huge drumkit, which nearly surrounds his entire body. In 1999, on Korn's Sick and Twisted Tour, David had to stop a show because of wrist problems, and could not play the rest of the tour. Substituting for David was Mikey Borten, from Faith No More. The rest of the tour went successfully. It turns out that David had an extra rib, and he recently had surgery to correct it. David recovered and was able to record for Korn's latest album, "Untouchables."

MUNKY

James Shaffer: guitars. BIRTHDATE: 6/6/70. BIRTHPLACE: Rosedale, California. As you may have guessed, Munky is the other guitar player in Korn. He usually plays the crunchy power chords, but occasionally he will have lead parts. A three-wheeler accident caused Munky to cut the tip of his finger, and his doctor told him he needed to rehabilitate his finger somehow, like by taking up an instrument. Munky thought right away about the guitar being the instrument and the doctor told him it was a perfect idea. Head and Munky also have a signature guitar model out through Ibanez, called the K-7. It has 24 frets and the U-bar, which Head and Munky came up with for the guitar. Head and Munky have known each other for a very long time, and have been playing guitar with each other ever since they were teenagers. On the "Deuce" DVD, Munky says that Head inspires Munky to play, and they both agree that they are musical soulmates, both needing each other to be in Korn. Along with Jonathan, Head and Munky's work can also be found on the "Queen Of The Damned" soundtrack on a few select tracks.
