Note: This page is best viewed in High-Resolution - about 1280x1024 is best. I wanted to make the pics LARGE for better visibility!
Also note: Some SFX effects have been "combined" with other pictures when I got tired of taking screenshots of the same exact things over and over, especially the Colltowers and the NEWendGameFX spirals and pulseballs and just noted the differences with text.

A single screenshot does not do the dynamic nature of some of these particle effects justice, but at least these might get you started in the right direction finding the one that you want.

I have tried to keep them as true to the original effects as possible, but some of the effects as they exist in the Object Hierarchy either don't have a bitmap assigned to them, so nothing shows up after creating them ingame, or some of the effects have been tweaked for better visibility. Again, these are just rough representations of what the effects will actually look like ingame. I have tried to note where any significant changes have been made from the way they exist in the Object Hierarchy. Try playing with the Number Of Particles setting, the color (palettized) setting, or setting them to Active if they don't look or act right for you.
