I like the windows open when it’s cold
I never seem to do what I’m told
Some said it’s because of that guy
Maybe their right,
Because you gave me the wings to fly
You showed me things about myself I never knew
Because there were so many walls to break through
Now I can walk with my head held high
I can sit and admire the midnight sky
I love the feeling of sand under my feet
The thoughts of others no longer make me weak
I can experience passion without regret
Those times with you I will never forget
And even though we are not together
