Chapter 10

-----Zac-----

I woke up in Quaker's bedroom with a pounding headache, and the urge to hurl. I moaned and rolled over, and came face to face with Quaker.

Just from moving my head, I got a huge amount of pain and dizziness, which made me really have to hurl. Oh, this sucks!

I covered my mouth and ran to the bathroom just in time to throw up everything I ate last night into the toilet bowl. Supriseingly enough, it burned like hell coming back up. I wonder what I ate.

-----Quaker-----

Last night, we came in and put Zac on my bed. I don't remember falling asleep next to him, but I guess I did, because I was woken up by him jumping up and running out of the room. I gave myself about a minute more to wake up, and then went out of the room to follow him. I got to the bathroom, and was immediately grossed out by seeing him throwing up, but I knew what I had to do.

I walked over to him and held his hair back, so he wouldn't hurl all over it, and started to rub his back, trying to soothe him.

Eventually he stopped, and sunk down to the floor. I sat next to him.

"You feel any better?" I asked

"Thanks man. A little bit. What happened last night anyway?"

He didn't remember. Oh great!

"Well, you remember going to the party right?"

"Yeah, but why am I hurling?"

"Well, um, you see it's very simple. You um, got just a tad bit drunk last night."

"Oh no, did I do anything stupid?"

"You danced on top of a table for while, ate a block of cheese, and then passed out in a corner."

"Is that it? No drugs, no illegal stuff, no well, um, you know what?"

"Nah, you basically just made a fool out of yourself." I said. He groaned. "But the good thing is, they think your cool now. Did you know you were the youngest one there?"

"Really? That's cool man..." he said. Then he made a weird face, and started hurling again. I held his hair back like I did before, and let him get it all out.

-----Isaac-----

About noon time, my little brother stumbled into our bedroom, and collapsed on his bed. I just watched him for a bit because he obviously didn't know I was in the room. A bit later my mom came in, felt his forehead, gave him a drug of some kind, and then left.

I walked over to his bed and sat down next to him. "What's the matter with you?" I asked.

"Nothing, I just don't feel well man."

"Oh, sorry to hear that. So how did the sleep over at Quaker's house go last night?"

"It was pretty cool. You know, nothing special happened."

"HA!" I exclaimed. He fell right into my trap.

"What?"

"You were at Quaker's house last night." I am so stealth!

"No I wasn't."

"Yes you were."

"No I wasn't."

"Oh yes you were dearest baby brother. I just got you to admit you were. Besides, I saw you through the windows of her house."

"You did?"

"Yes I did."

"What exactly did you see?"

"Everything."

"What's everything?"

Darn it, I didn't expect that one. I really didn't see anything, except for when he went there last night. Oh well, I'll just wing it.

"Um, everything you and Quaker did. How could you Zac?"

"I don't know, they dared us to." he said whining. Huh? I think I stumbled onto something. They did something? I wonder how far they went.

"So how does it feel to not be a virgin?" I asked him. Hey, it was worth a try. I really didn't know what they did.

"Woah, wait up. We didn't go that far. Have more respect for me than that man!" he said rather offended sitting up suddenly. As soon as he did that, he fell back down, and put his hand on his head. Hmmm, another mystery.

"Are you okay?" I asked him suspiusly.

"Yeah, just as long as I don't go anywhere, cause I really don't feel good man."

"Rough night?"

"Tell me about it."

"Hey Zac, can I ask you something?" I asked him.

"Shoot." he said.

"Well, I was just wondering if you could tell me everything you have been doing over Quaker's house, truthfully." There, I said it. I hope he tells me. Well, he's my little brother, and it's my job to look out for him, but how can I do that if he always keeps secrets from me?

-----Zac-----

I really don't want to tell him anything, but I sorta feel guilted into it. I guess I should tell him, cause he's only trying to look out for me. I know if I was in his place, like if Mackie were doing what I was doing then I guess I would be doing just what Ike is doing, so I sat him down, and told him everything that happened last night. He just stared at me in awe with his mouth hanging open. Eventually he started talking again.

"Well, um....I guess I didn't expect that, and I guess I see now that I can't stop you from doing things that you really wanna do. I can only offer you advice, so here it is. Don't do anything else, and if you do decide to go all the way with Quaker, then at least use protection, causes it looks like that's the direction that you two are heading in." Woah, he thinks I'm gonna score with Quaker! Cha-ching!!!

-----Quaker-----

"Okay Quaker, you ready for the biggest high in your life?" Benji asked me. I don't know how I got talked into this, but here the three of us were, in my basement, getting ready to take smack out of a foil bong.

I had never dreamed of doing this heavy drug before, but here I am. The only reason why I'm doing this, is cause Benji said it is a so much better high then pot alone. He says that if you only do one drug in life, then heroin should be it. I don't believe him, so I guess the only way to find out, is if you try it yourself.

Benji passed the bong my way, and I snatched it from him and lit it. I watched as the smoke from the bong rose up towards my face. As soon as I saw the time fit, I inhaled the foul smelling smoke. I coughed and sputtered, but then went back for more.
