Observations of Timothy Tran (Clan Toreador, City Advisor):
From the Journal of Timothy Tran, June 1st, 2001:
The night started off slow enough, I was attending to my duties as City Advisor for the first time. It was somewhat chaotic for me, and I did a pisspoor job at Court, but at least I had it go together somewhat. Thank goodness the Harpy had other business...
Dr. Netchurch informed the city of the discovery that I helped him find, A family, a bloodline raised to be ghouls for the Tzimicse was discovered in Ohio. And I suspect they're also in Detroit, but investigation is pending. A couple new Kindred were introduced, the 4th ghoul was reported to be found. Then, it happened, it was obvious the Sheriff has just got a bit of news...
It seems that there was some sort of power outage of nonsensical proportion down at the bridge, unfortunately, nearly the whole city went down to investigate. Living in Windsor has made us all jumpy it seems. A few of us stayed behind, fearing a feint, and soon, after a couple chess games, we discovered we were right. We rushed down to the Theatre District to defend, I was too busy arranging cover-ups to even get down there before the fighting was over. And, oh, what a mess...
Eventually, everyone got back to Elysium, and here I knew the real test of my ability to hold my position would occur. The Masquerade had been torn apart by the battles all over Windsor. Brujah Elder Ivan had a great plan of using the Chicago gang wars as a cover, along with the Adonis Foundation's movie background for the more supernatural occurences. I informed the city that I needed to be contacted as soon as possible of the influences Ivan asked for, contacts in health, media, police, street level and even underworld needed to be tapped. We broke up for half an hour or so into Clan meetings to discuss what resources could be dug up. I talked to my Clan, although it quickly degenerated into a shouting match between Primogen Tyche and Aidan Sweeney, I did my best to calm them but there was too much tension tonight. Sweeney was not happy with Tyche's physical involvement but I believe he underestimates her. A bit later, after we broke up the meeting he gave me some of the most valuable tips in dealing with those of higher status and prestige that I think I'll do a much better job in 2 weeks at Court.
I spoke to each Primogen seperately, each representing what their clans had to offer for this night. Nearly every clan chipped in, but I was very happy with the abundant influence Clan Brujah provided, added onto what I had heard about their exploits during the fights. Now, all the raw materials have been gathered, and with the Prince, Elder Tayback, Elder Kreshenski, we shall form a history that will leave Windsor Cainites in peace to focus on the Sabbat and why they attacked...
Observations of Elijah McAnter, "Lazarus" (Clan Toreador):
My own stupidity was my downfall. I will not go into detail about what happened before the battles began, as it will live in my memory for some time. However, I will say that I found out that Sir Lune apparently is angered at me, for what reason I do not know. As I was walking out of the Court, Dr. Wu approached me and asked if I wished to "have some fun" to which I replied yes. If I had only known what would happen, I would never have accompanied the battle party.
Wu outfitted me with several Molotov cocktails and a stake, as I am not proficient with firearms. As we approached the bridge, we saw that Mr. Krenshki had already slaughtered several of the Sabbat Menace, but that they had split up, heading in two opposite directions. I chose to accompany Tyche, as she is my Primogen. We headed off to the Theatre District with Dr. Wu, Mr. Sharpe, Meyer, and others, only to find an art gallery burning. Tyche, Wu, and Sharpe, amongst others entered, while Meyer, myself and Anton stayed with the car. How foolish, seeing as none of us were combatants. I thought it would be safer, and that I would be of more use blocking off the exits of the enemy. After a few minutes of waiting, a huge brute ripped out of the shadows and attacked us. I tried to turn him away with my Dread Gaze, but failed. Oddly, he sent Anton running with his own Dread Gaze, while Meyer shot him with a shotgun loaded with Dragon'sBreath. Although this damaged the Sabbat, I was in the fire spray, and so I myself was hit by friendly fire. Reeling, I swung again, but did not connect. Two more Sabbat popped up, and the original on me grappled me and bit, draining me of my vitae. This continued, as I was unable to shove the monster off. However, Anton came back, and my attacker went off of me, attacking Anton, who, using his powers, raised him into the air, where I, able to stand only by force of will, drove my stake through his back, unfortunately missing the heart. While this was happening, a man I am not familiar with, wielding two guns rushed in, blasting away the rest of the Sabbat. I fell to the ground due to my wounds, and was revived by Dr. Wu. After the battes ended, I returned to Elysium, and after changing clothes, I found that the scar left by the Sabbat scum was still visible over the collar of my shirt. I fear I shall be marred for a long time.
After Mr. Krenshki shouted at all of us, we broke into Clan Meetings. Mine turned into a shouting match between Tyche and Sweeney. I led Timothy off and suggested that the movie to be done by the Adonis Foundation have a cult aspect, as that would explain many of the breaches. I am not sure how this was recieved by Joseph, the new Malkavian in town, who is writing the script. After that, I played a game of chess with Dr. Wu, and, as I was about to leave, I was called by Darien St. Cloud. I was warned to be careful of Quentin.
Here is my response: I care not what you say, nor what I do now. I trust Quentin Wu, something I cannot say about most Kindred. If this puts me in danger of any other clans, or my own, then so be it. As my mortal RPG gaming group used to say, "Let the Dice falll where they may."
