Historical Log, May 4th, 2001:

I'm starting this log for all in Windsor, I'll keep a copy on my computer, and hardcopy in my personal library, and with me when I visit Elysium. If this happens to be an important place/time in history, I'm sure my predecessors will thank me! Let's just hope I'll always be around so I'll never need predecessors!

A night like this hasn't happened in a while! Elysium moved back to Sweeny's right after it's renovation. I must say it's quite tastefully redecorated. We got a nice tour of the area at the beginning of the evening by Aidan himself. Very interesting, I think I'll be spending a lot of time in the Library, personally.

The thing that made this night so noteworthy, and told me I need to start keeping a "diary" of sorts, was this unexpected "exposure" of the Seneschal and the City Advisor as traitors! These were Conrad St. John and Edith. Conrad was sufficiently... incapacitated, by the Prince, it was quite gruesome, he's quite the powerful leader. In addition, Edith was staked immiediately afterwards. The proof weighed greatly against them, but it did seem rather fishy...

Anyways, the investigation being led by our Sheriff E.P Morrison isn't over yet. But I was glad to help! Funny, I've been in this city almost 30 years, and almost know no one knows about how much I love to research (especially History), but I think I was quite useful in exploring Conrad's Haven! I used one my Kindred powers to get a feeling as to Conrad's last feelings before he left his home. St. John was _quite_ frightened, I must add. Oh, and to you, dear reader, know that my services are always available to any Kindred in need. We need to work together to keep this city under Camarilla control, and I fear we'll need to pull everyone's resources together more than a handful of times.

Anyways, the Sheriff, my Primogen Tyche Montclair, and another Kindred, a Gangrel by the name Jonis, dug up a few clues. I hope it was helpful to the investigation. We returned to Elysium so Tyche could attend the Primogen meeting that happened. It was in the Library, too! I was stuck in the bar without my research materials, oh well. So, I stuck around Elysium, socializing I suppose... I'm not to keen on it, but we have a well close-knit city I could see.

Later on, I attended my Clan Meeting, which I suppose should be kept private, at the behest of my other clan members, but I really don't see the reason. All we did was talk about what happened earlier that night, and what the Prince's plan for the next couple weeks are gonna be. Which, I noticed I have failed to mention, are to, of course, figure out exactly that Conrad was trying to lead him into a Sabbat trap at the bridge to Detroit, and, who the successor's to the positions of Seneschal and City Advisor are going to be. Prince Thorson wants competition for this position, as a smart man in charge would. My clan said that I might be qualified for the position of City Advisor, but, I think there's much better people for the job in Windsor. I guess I'll acquiesce to their suggestion, I'm sure there won't be much competition for the position, as it's not the exalted position of Seneschal that anyone who's good at controlling things would desire. I hope that my candidacy helps a little, no one will probably notice though! I do hope this gets more people aware of how much I desire to help the city in anyway I can.

That's the "low-down" on the events, I suspect the next 2 weeks until the decision for the positions are announced will be quiet. I've so much research to do, too...
