Synopsis: Session 1 - "Malicious Intent"

Observations of Pietr William Watt (Clan Nosferatu, Assistant Harpy):

It was a fairly mundane evening. Speculation as to the disappearance of the Seneschal and Advisor had only begun. I was looking forward to using that as my primary conversation gambit. When the plot was unmasked it all got very droll very quickly. I'm curious as to what was really going on, of course, but as one of the assistant harpies I felt I had to focus on chattering about who would rise to the open seats. There were some amusing sidelines. Doctor Wu declared his intentions rather early and seems to have the support of all, save the Ventrue. They've been hearing rumors that Wu has had his eye on taking power from either them or from their Mafioso. Wu's made no secret about his connection to their rivals, the Triads of Chinatown. Lucian didn't tell Wu his sources, though. I'm sure it's from something that we harpies have let slip, but that is the job after all. I don't think any of us have firm evidence of anything truly treacherous in the works. Regardless, Wu should be a fine Advisor.

I've begun to question just how well the Masquerade is served through dabbling with these forces. Hell, it's keeping me from my sleep. If the beastial image the Nosferatu wear really is the outer manifestation of our sins and not simply some arbitrarily laid curse then these sorts of dealings aren't doing me any good. It too early to disrupt the applecart, though.

I heard that the Malkavian primogen was interested in being Seneschal. He publically declared it towards the close of the evening, but I was able to start whispering about it shortly after hearing about it earlier.

It's a pity I can't talk more about that. I've been working hard to get my loyalty to the clan publically recognized and serving as Lune's loyal servant when his childe whip is absent seems to the best way to do it. It rankles, but status is one of the ways to receive respect in the city.

I don't mind sharing what I've overheard about the tensions within the Brujah. The Sheriff seems to take a rather cavalier attitude towards his clan. The Primogen is almost abusive towards his underlings. He runs to the pretense of privacy, but then chews them out at full volume. The large talkative neonate seemed to take the brunt of it. I doubt he's happy.
