Plane Catches Fire at Windsor Airport

Early Friday evening the wing of Northwest Airlines Flight 125 caught fire while it was moving onto the runway. All passengers and crew were safely evacuated from the plane and only minor injuries were reported, mostly of the scratch and bruise variety.

Due to the skilled efforts of the emergency ground crew on duty the fire was quickly extinguished. A preliminary investigation points towards a faulty fuel line gasket that leaked fuel onto exposed wiring. This in turn ignited the fuel and produced the resuling fire.

The Canadian Air Ministry has contacted the manufacturer of the Airplane, Boeing, and has issued an order that all planes should be checked for possible faulty fuel line gaskets.

Phone Fraud Becoming an Issue for the City Government

Various citizen rights groups have begun to put pressure on the City Government to investigate the increasing number of phone fraud cases that are plagueing citizens and businesses alike. Many private citizens and small businesses have reported added charges to their phone bills in the form of calls they never made to numbers they don't know. The number of annoyed phone customers is increasing almost by the day. The citizen rights groups do not blame the phone companies, they believe that it is criminals who are illegally tapping into landlines and cloning cellphone numbers are the ones responsible. Only time will tell if a full scale investigation will begin.
