Here are some questions/statements and answers to those questions/statements that most christians keep asking and saying over and over again. If you are a christian and if you are going to email a question to me, you might want to look here first.

Q#1: You say that we don't have proof that there is a god, but you don't have proof that there isn't a god.

A: Do you believe that santa claus exist or the easter bunny? NO! But can you be absolutely sure that they don't exist period? Maybe they exist on another planet or in another galaxy, etc. The term "atheism" means "no belief in a god or gods" They do not claim that there is no god. There is a difference. Also, as regarding to "proof", the one who claims something have the burden of proof on there hands. If I told you that there are gremlins in my bathtub, wouldn't be foolish if I told you to prove me wrong? Of course, because I'm the one that is making the claim not you. Most christians claim that there is a god, most atheists do not claim that there isn't, so the burden of proof lies on the christians, not atheist.

Q#2: Evolution is just a theory, not a fact!

A: It would be very helpful if you know what the term "scientific theory" means. It's more than just a "wild hunch" There are questions on how evolution occurs or when does it occur. However, THERE IS NO DISPUTE WHATSOEVER that evolution happen period because it did.

In short, evolution is both fact and theory. Creationism however, is neither.

Q#3 The bible proves that christianity is true!

A: Does the Koran proves that the islamic/muslim religion is true? Do the hindu scriptures proves that Hinduism is true? NO!

Q#4 Why do you put so much effort in debunking christianity and not anyone else's religion?

A: 2 Simple answers are geography and location. I live in the United States, where christianity is the dominate, powerful, and also the most intolerant.

It is not the Hindus, Muslims, Jews, etc. that are trying to take evolution out of public school science classes, post 10 commandments on every building, or take anyone else's religious rights (or lack of) away. It's the fundamental christians.

Q#5 There are no errors in the bible, that proves that it is from god!

A: Matthew 27:5 ".....then Judas threw the money onto the floor of the temple and went out and hanged himself

Acts 1:18 "Judas bought a field with the money he recieved for his treachery, and falling there, he burst open, spilling out his intestines

Those are just 2 out of hundreds of obvious contradictions in the bible. Most christians would try to solve contradictions like these by saying.."Well yes, Judas did hang himself, but he hung himmself over the edge of a cliff. Then the rope broke causing him to fall and split his guts open on some jagged rocks." (I am not making this up. This is just one variation of explanations that was offered for this contradiction.) The problem with statements such as the above is that it doesn't solve the contradiction, it just offers far-fetched "how it could have been" explanations to cover it up. It is more likely that the authors of Matthew or Acts made a mistake. Or maybe they both did. In order for the "broken rope" theory to work, one would have to prove that such a scenario is likely. By the way, there is also a contradiction in there about the money. Did Judas threw it on the floor or did he bought a field with it?

Q#6 You know in your heart that christianity is true. The devil have just decieved you.

A: I truly resent comments like these and for 2 reasons.

Number 1, the person that uttered this comment doesn't even know me. Number 2, there is no proof to back up such statement.

Now if he/she said in a polite manner "I really think you believe in god and here is why I think this..." I could go along with that. However, when someone just blurt out comments such as the one above, it clearly show his/her mind is closed, and there is no need to even say anything to him/her.

Q#7 You were never a christian to begin with!

A: Another comment I truly resent. I have christians telling me things like this back when I told them that I use to be a christian, but now I am a atheist. I think they believe in the old saying "once saved, always saved" type of thing. I only have this to say. I tried to be a true christian back then, and if I am not certain that I was a christian in the first place, then no one else can be certain either. Not even the person that utters this comment.

Q#8 If you are right, then I really haven't lost anything, but If I am right, then you have lost everything!

A:..and if the muslims or any other religious people are right, then you and I have lost everything. The muslims believe in hell too you know, and according to their religious scriptures, christians or anyone else not in their religion aren't welcome. So, it would seem that you are taking the same risk as I am my friend. Also, if I am right then you have, in some cases, lost everything already. You have lost most of your life following some book that doesn't mean anything or anything in it isn't true for example, when in fact you could have follow you own life based on instinct instead. It seems that you have lost something if I am right.

Q#9 If the bible wasn't true at all, then how come when it says that all mankind is sining, it is actually happening then huh!? There are many prophecies that is happening now because the bible say it would. How do explain that?

A: The bible also say that people turn into pillars of salt (Gen. 19:25-27 as an example), if you pray to Jesus you'll be able to walk on water (Matthew 14:29) and a virgin having a baby without having sex with a guy. However, do you see any of that happening? NO! Also there are many failed prophecies in the bible as well such as Ezekial predicted that Babylon would conquer Egypt (Ezek. 29:10 thru Ezek 30:11), but he was wrong.

Q#10 I feel sorry for you that you don't believe in god, and I will be praying for you!

A: Go right ahead and pray! I can't stop you. However, tell me something. Why is it that you need to tell me that you are going to pray for me? Why not just say nothing to me and go pray? Is it that you are trying to make me look bad and that you are trying to show people how "righeous" you are? Just a thought!
