Comedy pedigree: Started at sixth form college introducing the acts at the Christmas entertainment evening. When I moved to Swansea, started stand-up by performing my poetry (which I had been writing for several years) in a local café. Wrote some more jokes, found my image and entered the Daily Telegraph Open Mic awards last year, reaching the semi-finals. Now concentrating on degree for a few months before making a concerted effort to be famous.
Comedy influences: Spike Milligan, John Hegley, The Mary Whitehouse Experience, Ian Cognito - a very dark and very funny comedian currently on the circuit. Well worth a look, my current favorite. Oh, and The Mighty Boosh (Barrat And Fielding) - also currently working.
Goth pedigree: Wears black a lot, dyes hair black, scary little beard. Dabbles in early Manic Street Preachers, Marilyn Manson, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Godspeed you Black Emporer! and the like. Reads Blake, Milton etc. Thoroughly disillusioned with science and the corruption found in it, but aside from that actually really happy with life. Not very pale. I own a pair of bondage trousers, but unable to afford big boots. I have found a pair I like.
Goth influences: My friend Bob, www.wondergnome.co.uk - very nice bloke who does wonderful things with his hair and some soap. Encouraged my eyeliner habit.
Likes: Quiet nights in cafes or bars with good friends, loud/live music, laughing.
Dislikes: Heckling, intolerance.
