DRAGONBALL Z
* A Thin Line by Firecracker - Vegeta/Goku. A short but nice poem from Vegeta's POV about his conflicting feelings for Goku.
* A Twist of Fate by Arigatomina - Gohan/Trunks. Kurama/Hiei. Crossover with Yu Yu Hakusho, done quite artfully by the very talented Arigatomina. Kurama falls into a hole. Hiei follows. They end up the History of Trunks universe, a world torn by the tyranny of the Androids 17 and 18. Now, they must ally themselves with Mirai Trunks and Mirai Gohan to find their way back to their own realm. This fic is incomplete at three chapters, and I'm desperately hoping that the authoress will add more soon. :( This fic sets up some classic situations, such as Hiei's vendetta against Gohan on account of Kurama's, ahem, "friendliness." XD It's great!
* Good Morning, Starshine by Angelus - Trunks/Mirai Trunks. Yaoi. Incest (or would that be masturbation?). Mpreg. And no one is out of character. I love this to pieces.
* Hot Hotel Night by Firecracker - Goku x Vegeta. A good fic that stresses the theory of Saiyajin life-mates. Vegeta wakes up to find a naked Goku asleep on top of him. Hmmm...I wonder what happened?? :P
* Stained Glass by Angelus - Gohan x Trunks. This is one of the best DBZ fanfics I've read to date. Angelus has an elegant writing style, and sets a beautifully nostalgic mood for this fanfic. Gohan is a former priest who is forced to come to grips with a sin that he committed... but that mediocre summary does not do this fic justice at all. It's heavy on the religious themes, obviously, but hell, I loved it.
* Sweeter than Chocolate by Angelus - Vegeta x Gohan. Sap and yaoi are the spices of my life, and this fic had them both. I have a shameless secret fetish for this pairing (not as severe as my Vegeta x Mirai Trunks pairing, probably because this fetish gets fed occasionally), and this fic has everything that I love.
* Trunks' Crush by Wufei Winner - Hilariously funny and done in script format. A 9-year-old Trunks finds out a juicy piece of info on Gohan and decides to use it to blackmail him.
* The Chibi Chronicles by Stormy - So great, so wonderful, so funny! I've found that I love family-oriented fanfics almost as much as I love NC-17 fanfics, and DBZ is almost as family-oriented as it is battle-oriented. This totally great arc chronicles the lives of young Trunks and Goten as they grow up, having to deal with the toils of childhood such as naughty TV channels, all-you-can-eat buffets, and a perpetually grumpy Vegeta. XD
* We are the Conquerors. We are the Conquered. by Angelus - Goku x Vegeta. Multiple lemons. Angst. Implied rape. General sexiness. This is quite possibly the only "Goku discovers his Saiyan side and takes Vegeta for a mate" story that I've read and enjoyed. No weepy, meek, uke Vegetas in here. The Saiyan prince is just as fiery and proud as ever, but at the same time, he's not ridiculously incorrigible. Goku's transformation from gentle, addle-headed giant to gentle, addle-headed giant with raw, savage instincts is very well-done.
FINAL FANTASY VII
* Doves Cry: Scars by Tenshi no Korin - One of my first encounters with good FF7 yaoi. W00t! It's part of Tenshi and llamajoy's great FF7 arc, which I highly recommend checking out. This was the fic that got me hooked on it.
* Golden Moments by Ravensblade - Reno x Cloud. I read this fic years ago and then lost the link to the site where it was archived. Reading it again was an episode in nostalgic fic-bliss for me. This is the only Reno/Cloud fanfic that I've liked. They're a fairly rare pairing (or at least they were when I was active in the fandom), and the author does a good job with Reno's voice in this fanfic, opting for a more facetious Reno rather than a cold-hearted ballbuster. Cloud does the uke thing later on, but the fic was good enough that I could overlook it.
* Grief Counseling by Lori McDonald - References to yaoi. This fic is utterly and totally hilarious no matter how many times I read it. The remaining Turks seek are ordered to seek counseling after the death of their leader. Unfortunately, their doctor is a man whose sanity is questionable at best.
* I Know What's Beneath the Snowfields by Zaahra - I love it just like everyone else does. ^_^ Zaahra develops the relationship between Vincent and Aeris quite magnificently. It isn't just a fanfic about the characters, it's a fanfic about the nature of man. I could do without the ten chapter long battle scenes, though. And Tifa and Cloud are OOC, which kinda bugged me but oh well... It currently has 93 chapters. >.<
* Strangers in Paradise by Soul Hunter - Yuffie pays her respects to a dear friend. It's a very moving story.
* The Dark Shore by Frank Verderosa - My favorite out of the famous "Internet series." This is the fic that planted the seeds of Reno/Tifa inspiration in my mind. One time I printed every single chapter of this fanfic out for future reading. Hehe. Should have just bookmarked it.
FINAL FANTASY VIII
* Angel of the Morning by Tenshi no Korin – Squall x Zell. One of my favorite lemons out of all the fandoms I've scoured through, sensitive and full of emotion, with Squall at long last finally opening himself up to someone. This fic got me to like the SquallxZell couple and FF8 yaoi in general.
* ~FloweR~ by Uncreativity - Jesus Christ, I can't count the number of times I busted a gut laughing at this here fic! It's so goddamn funny! ~Squall, Squall, stuck in a wall!~
* Fujin Almasy by Uncreativity - I used to read this fic over and over and over, and laughed my ass off every time. XD Fujin angsts over her lack of a last name...
* Tease by BlackRose - It's hot, it's taboo, it's Laguna x Squall. Squall poses a question that leads to very fun times. Bad summary, I know. >.< Just read the fic! It's awesome.
* Would You? Could You? by BlackRose - Finish the phrase. Good. Now, realize this is a sequel to "Tease"...I think you can fill in the rest. ^_^ This fic is so hot it makes steam look cool. :P
FRUITS BASKET
* A Fine Line by Kureno - Kyou/Yuki. NC-17. The principal tries to make Kyou and Yuki get along, but the plan backfires. This author truly understands the dynamics between the two rivals. They are not a pairing suited for one-shot fanfics. You cannot just throw them in a room or closet and expect them to immediately overcome more than fifteen years of being trained to hate one another. Either one or both of them have to be worn down slowly, and this author does just that. Fic is six chapters long and still going.
* A Single Note, Captured in Perfection Chyna Rose - Shigure dreams. This is such a poignant fanfic that looks at Shigure and Akito's relationship through a painfully realistic aspect. One-shot.
* All The World Denied by Lishy - This is an arc of stories with many different parings, but the ones I want to rec are the Shigure x Kyou parts: Awful, I'm Your Man, It Could Be Sweet, Near You Always, Beautiful Feeling, In The Springtime, and See the Light. Hot lemons. Accurate characterizations. Healthy dose of fluff. What more could you ask for?
* Circumstances by Koumori - Hatori/Shigure. NC-17. This isn't the type of fic I would personally go back and read over and over again, but I liked it a lot for the reality of Hatori's voice and the fact that it wasn't just mindless smut. It also broke from the typical "kiss, nipple, blowjob, fuck" formula, which was quite refreshing in a fandom where it's hard to find good yaoi fanfics. Akito is not portrayed in the kindest light (perish the thought!), but ah well, I could overlook it. **NOTE** Fic is under Fiction >> Miscellaneous
* Emperor's New Clothes by Trixie - Website. In the author's own words: "Ayame receive a strange new order for a set of clothes." I don't want to say anymore lest I ruin the beautiful poignancy of this fic. It manages to be humurous, dark, and sad all at once.
* Evermore by Zapenstap - Imagine the Fruits Basket characters in a fantasy setting with dungeons and forests and the like. Pretty nice, ne? Despite that description, this is not an AU fanfic. It starts off in the Fruits Basket universe, which was a pleasant surprise for me. Zapenstap's Akito is fantastic, and plays a large part in this fanfic.
* Long Denied by cousin D - Crossover with Petshop of Horrors. In the author's own words: "No one knows why the Souma family is cursed... no one except Shigure. But what will Shigure do with his knowledge and why hasn't he ever told anyone? Who is that beautiful man who is intent on taking Kyo away?" A masterfully-written fanfic down to the very last detail. Everyone is angsty and perfectly in character, and the author gives us an accurate look into what's going on in their heads.
* Outside the Dream by Ysabet - A beautiful one-shot about the bond of the God to the Juunishi, told from the view of one who is now an outsider.
* Sleepwalker by Demeter - In the author's own words: "Why bumps in the night aren't as conventionally scary as movies want you to think. Hatori keeps watch." This fic is a great portrayal of the interesting and exceedingly complex dynamics between Akito and the elder members of the Juunishi.
* This Tilting Path by Demeter - In the author's own words: "Thirteen Juunishi. One God." An excellent and beautiful fic told through the eyes of every Juunishi, each seeing Akito in a different way.
GUNDAM WING
* Angel on Vacation by Yoiko - 2x1 yaoi lemon. Deathfic. No matter how sad and depressing this fic is, I keep going back to read it. Beautiful lemon. Beautiful melancholic tone all throughout. I love it. *Note: The link will take you to GWAddiction*
* Being Duo Maxwell Series by Keelywolfe - 1x2x1 lemons. A series I think every fan in the GW fandom should read. This wonderful authoress set the mode for sarcastic, tough-talking, badass Duos. Funny at times, angsty at others, this series is something you just can't miss out on! *Series is at the bottom of the page*
* Nothing Else Matters by Jen - AU. 3+1. 2+5. I just love Alternate Universe fics in a school setting, and this one deals with Duo coming to grips with who is really is.
* Rattlesnakes by Trixie - Website. 2x3x2. Lemon. Drug Use. Ten years after the war, Duo and Trowa's lives have taken a turn for the worse. Though the two pilots rarely ever directly interacted during the war, they find their lives intertwined after they're assigned to group therapy sessions. This fic is hot and masterfully-written from the first chapter straight through to the epilogue.
* Spring by DaMoyre - 2x4x2 lemon. Great "Duo" voice, steamy sex scene. A definite must-read! ^_^ Another fic that I also printed out for portable reading. Also the only Duo/Quatre fanfic that stuck with me. *Link takes you to GWAddiction*
HARRY POTTER
* Irresistible Poison by Rhysenn - Harry/Draco. Wonderful fanfic, just wonderful. Draco is caught in the snares of a love potion that cuts both ways. I've never read a fic that embodies painful longing as good as this fanfic. The angst is high, gently wistful, and extremely beautiful. Its only downfall is the lack of lemon and the authoress' obvious ability to write a great one. Grr, very grr! But hell, for me to read a PG-13 fanfic...you know it has to be good.
* The Best Defense by Jochan – Hiei/Kurama. Ron/Hermione. Crossover with Yu Yu Hakusho, quite possibly the only Harry Potter crossover I've ever read and liked. I'm constantly amazed at how well the author assimilated the Yu Yu Hakusho cast into Harry's world. Characterizations for both fandoms are believable and dead-on. The fic even reads like an actual Harry Potter book!
* The Space Between by Amalin - Website. Draco/Harry. A one-shot fic about the post-war Harry Potter universe, a once-proud Malfoy member in prison, and members that had long been buried.
LORD OF THE RINGS
* Elf-baiting by Qualli - The pairing in this fic is Legolas/Gimli, which usually triggers my "Bleh-O-Meter," but not even a kiss is shared in this fic. Just Gimli and Legolas riding on a horse, sharing conversation and reflections. It's good, I swear!
* The Ten Minute Two Towers by Molly J. Ringwraith - Hil-fucking-arious! That's all I have to say. XD XD
* The Very Secret Diaries of the Fellowship of the Ring by Cassandra Claire - I'm sure you've read these...right??? If you haven't, you're missing out on some fabulously funny lines and some dirty secrets. :P
NARUTO
* Another Wolf by coetzee b - Sakura/Kakashi. The author's own description: "And now the wolf is at my door, and things are never going to be like before." This fic is excellent and well-written, with plot that is based more on the evolution of a relationship through normal forces of attraction rather than through ninja missions and whatnot.
SAIYUKI
* Binding Fate by Naga - A great story about the circumstances under which Sanzo first came across Son Goku, and how they came to travel together as begrudging (at least on Sanzo's part) companions.
* Limiter by Bhex - Hakkai x Gojyo. Lime. What happens when the thing that keeps all Hakkai's desires repressed finally comes off?
* Rainy Night by incandescens - A hilarious night full of rain, bathtubs, and misinterpretations for the Sanzo-ikkou and Kougaiji and Co.
* The Becoming by Illianaka - Sanzo x Goku. Lemon. In the author's own words: "His limiter being knocked off was set up to look like an accident, but in reality... " A great fic by an author who appears to have a true, honest love for Goku, a character is who often overlooked and not taken seriously.
YU YU HAKUSHO

* do demons dream? by llamajoy - Kurama + Hiei. Takes place during the Ankoku Bujutusukai. Hiei's feelings are forcibly laid bare...
* Facetious Beginning by Obsidian Sphinx - Jin + Touya. ^_^ Told through Jin's POV as he recalls the less-than-normal occurrences that led to the beginning of his and Touya's relationship.
* For the Love of Traitors by Tenshi no Korin - Yusuke x Koenma. This is the best Yu Yu Hakusho fanfic I've ever read, and the utter rarity of the couple just adds to its magic. Full of tender feeling, painful memories, dead-on characterizations, and lemon scenes that are more sweet than hot. Tenshi never disappoints.
* Hide and Go Seek by Obsidian Sphinx - A Jin and Touya get together story that is so very cute! Some very funny lines and characterizations.
* Midsummer Moon by Petronia - Website. Hiei x Kurama. Lemon. Kurama's alive with the carnal magic of the seasons, and Hiei just happens to be at the right place at the right time.

* Warning Label by Tayla Firedancer - A relentlessly cute fic on why you should read the warning labels on medicine containers before treating wounded koorimes.
