Overview
Anthrax is one of the 'big 4' thrash bands from the 80s, Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer being the others. Anthrax's and Metallica's debut albums have a lot in common but as Metallica got darker and heavier, Anthrax kept its thrashy, punkish sound through much of the 80s. Although with a diminishing fan base, Anthrax still makes albums, although they are more 'industrial' but they to keep to their thrash roots.
