DUE SOUTH
Mounties in love
I have never seen an episode of due South. And these stories still blew me away. If you're looking for recs from someone actually familiar with the fandom as opposed to just my introduction to it, you'll probably want to look elsewhere...but if you haven't read the stories below, trust me, you want to.
Speranza-- Where to start? It's all so good. Wildly Dangerous Ways, Scrabble, Enduring Distance, Chicago's Most Wanted....
Heavy Bag by Kat Allison -- I think this was probably the first of her dS stories I read because I had a thing for Ray Kowalski before I discovered I had a possibly even bigger thing for Fraser, and also because what everyone says about Kat's stories is true: most of them will rip your fucking heart out. Which is something I actually enjoy, but even I wanted to start in a semi-happy place... that said, I will also recommend everything else she's written, especially Roots Rain and her novel The End of the Road (both more first person Fraser)--they are extraordinary.
And Dawn Pares wrote a Ray and Stella story that was very good.

Also, I thought maybe I needed a subpage of Dief recs but it turns out there's a Dief archive...
