MSN Explorer Final Fix

This fix is to be used when all others have failed. Simply uninstalling MSN Explorer and reinstalling it does NOT remove the key settings that MSN Explorer uses to connect you to the internet. If you are having internet connection problems, and reinstalling the software has NOT resolved the problem, try the following:

  1. Uninstall MSN Explorer by using the Add/Remove option in the Control Panel. Restart your computer when the uninstall is finished.
  2. Click on Start -> Run and type in REGEDIT. This will bring up a window with folder icons. These represent registry entries.
  3. The registry entries for MSN Explorer are in the following paths:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/MSN6
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/MSN6

Click on the MSN6 folders ONE TIME and press the Delete key on your keyboard to remove the registry entries.
  4. After removing these entries, close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
  5. Reinstall MSN Explorer from the CD or from the website, MSN Explorer.
