Just because I know how much you, my nerdy followers, enjoy my story telling so much, here's a little something I've "cooked up"...
The scene: The big gray building in my backyard, the night before the Solo and Ensemble Contest - 2001
Imagine, if you will, me hiding in a closet, waiting for one of the other four people there to come downstairs to see where I am, you know, to make sure I hadn't hurt myself or something. And while it took like FIVE MINUTES BEFORE THEY NOTICED I WAS MISSING, our honored one finally says "I'm gonna go find Kim, 'cause she's being real quiet."
Hehehe, what a sucker. So, she walks gingerly down the stairs. "Kim?" No response... Then, she walked past the closet door.
*Door flies open* Me: "BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Her:"(Very high pitched) AHHHHHHH! Kim, I hate you!" She then proceeds to run back up the stairs, trip at the top, and fall down, all within a matter of 5 seconds. The best part of the story? She had my video camera in her hand the entire time, so the visual is always there when I need a good chuckle.
Anyhoo, our Nerd is currently enrolled in the JVS Culinary Arts program, which accounts for my sneaky little pun at the top of the page. We miss her dearly at Keystone, but wish her the best of luck. (Did you see how I sucked up right there? It's my art of constantly trying to find a way to get a free meal.)
