Life is all about change. Flowers bloom, children grow, and feathered hair goes out of style. Some changes really suck though, and that's what June's Nerd of the Month is going to show us.
I met this nerd a mere 3 years ago, but it seems like it's been so much longer. I still remember our first conversation...
"Hey, cool, my turtle's first name is the same as your last name!"
*Sigh* To be in 8th grade again. Well, as we grew, we became closer and closer, until one day, we awoke to find that we had somehow fused into one super hot chick... ok, maybe not, but we were friends none the less. Today, she is my reminder of what it is I was talking about, my rat intestine examining partner, my personal shrink at times... ok, a lot of the time. We shared a good chunk of the school day this year, and I don't know what I would have done without her.
Ah, but as I said, things change. Next year, she will leave me to go to JVS to learn how to be an executive administrative something or other, and I don't know what I'll do with myself. I mean, who else can I have a conversation with that starts off "Yeah, so I'm dating Amanda's uncle..." (Don't worry, he's 16) I just might have to slip her a drug and lock her in my basement. Wait, I don't have a basement. Crap, does anyone have a basement I can borrow?
