Nerd of the Month - January

This January has been a cold one, has it not? Wouldn’t you just love to curl up with a nice polar bear… Or better yet, a LLAMA? I’m sure January’s Nerd could help you out.

Oh yeah, she’s got petting zoo potential. I’m only kidding. We love her, freakishly tiny head and all.

I must admit, I haven’t always had a keen adoration for this gal. To tell you the truth, she annoyed the ba-jesus out of me. I just knew she was no good.

Hey, even the Nerd Master is wrong sometimes. The truth is, she’s a gentle giant with a heart of gold - once you get past the word fragment thing.

I suppose you’re wondering about her qualifications. Well, let’s see:

A) She’s like all-planet in volleyball and basketball, which just might have something to do with the fact that she’s approximately 27 feet tall. Actually, she’s really freakin’ good - and she plays like her life’s on the line. Seriously, turns into a grizzly out there on the court. She’ll take your arm off if it means 2 points for the Lady Wildcats.

B) Watch out Whitney, there’s a new kid in town. This gal’s got lungs like no other. She’s a new addition to the Symphonic Choir this year, and just so happens to be the folder partner of yours truly. She gives me goose bumps, I must say, even though she still likes to bust out the Aguilera-like warm-ups every now and then.

C) Go ahead, get her enthralled in a nice little conversation. It starts out calmly enough, a point here, a gesture there. Before long, though, look out, cause the arms are flyin’ and believe me, if you don’t look out, you’re coming out of that discussion with an eye patch. She’s got mannerisms that make her appear to be in pain of some sort. I think that perhaps her mother adopted her from a nice circus family of Octopus People or something. Hmm, I could be on to something…

All you crazy, beautiful, whacky, lovely, beautiful, awesome, excellent, beautiful nerds out there, give a totally super, beautiful, gigantic, (did I mention beautiful?) welcome to January’s Nerd of the Month, Jessica.
