Also known as "What I do With 90% of my time"
Yep, this is it. Well most of it anyway.
| Band | Description |
|---|---|
| KMFDM | My favorite of favorite bands. I've got 30+ of their CDs and singles. Industrial-Techno-Metal, or better known to their fans as "Ultra-Heavy Beat" music. Go do yourself a favor and pick up Nihil! |
| mdfmk | Although they're no longer together, they were once a great band. Being one of the only two music acts I've ever seen live, I'll always have a special memory of this group. Fronted by KMFDM's Sascha K., and Tim Skold with the addition of Lucia Cifarelli. I'd call this band Ultra-Heavy Beat as well, but leaning more towards the pop side of things. |
| Skold | Tim Skold's solo project, once thought to be defunct is now risen from the ashes. With a CD in the works, we've no idea what we're going to hear from Timmy now but we're looking forward to it. Try to get ahold of his self-titled debut disc, it's absolutly worth it. |
| Excessive Force | Sascha Konietzko and Buzz McCoy's side project, started for beer money. Hard to find, and in my opinion almost not worth searching for, that is, almost. Although it's not really my thing in the grand perspective, sometimes I'll just get in the mood for these CDs. Dance music with a political kick, Excessive Force is definitely pure Sascha Konietzko. |
| Pig | This man can do no wrong. Symphonic-Industrial, and everything else. This man is the Fucking Shit. My second favorite musician (right after KMFDM), I currently own 4 discs by this man and they all get a ton of playtime. I suggest anyone reading this to get Wrecked if you're into harder music, or The Swining/Red, Raw, and Sore if you're into more symphonic-industrial music. Search for A Poke in the Eye With a Sharp Stick if you're into early KMFDM, or just good music in general. |
| VNV Nation | Extremely POPpy EBM, some people would call it chick music (it is technically... "Standing", "Solitary"). I love this, but it reminds me of Merissa, so I can't listen to it for too long. |
| Snog | Snog is cool, that's basically all I've got to say. Go out and get Third Mall from the Sun. |
| ohGr | ohGr rules, their new disc Welt has been spending more time in my cd player than out of it. I missed their concert, so that's a big disappointment, but I'm sure it was great. |
| Lords of Acid | I've got two discs by them - Farstucker and Voodoo-U, and both are pretty good. I love them while tripping, but even while not tripping it's great. |
| Rammstein | I've got two discs by them - Mutter and Sehnsucht, and I've heard Herzeleid many times. Although I liked Sehnsucht more, Mutter has somewhat been growing on me. Lots of people have heard Rammstein before, but "Du Hast" isn't a very good example of their music. I've actually begun to detest that song because of all the people that like it. |
| Coil | What can I say? Most people I know wouldn't like this music. Trippers can really appriciate the value of it though. Even Zach likes Coil a lot, "Psilocybin" most of all. |
| Velvet Acid Christ | "Oh God! Did you eat all this acid?" Lots of people hate Bryan Erickson, and I'm sure I probably would too if I knew him. I don't though, so yeah... sure he samples like crazy, and a song probably shouldn't be made up of primarily a sample of an entire movie but he did it so well. Industrial-Techno, gothy at times ("Fun with Knives") but it's great. |
