Assimilation

I'm aware of the clock
I'm aware of you
Watching me
Eyes like two dead hawks
Perched aside a fence
Left cold and battered
Not empty but wasted
Seeing is watching
Taking in and molding
However you want, my dear
I am here for the taking
But you can't have my heart
It's thrown against the wall
Of a concrete highway near route 30
For all to shoot at
With cold and lies and crutches
Humiliation is a scar on my right arm
Still staring now?
