surreal sydney

This is very weird. every city I've been in so far in Oz has been progressively bigger and better than the last, but Sydney has to be the most impressive. And yet it's so weird to wander around the beautiful harbour area and gawk at the bridge and the opera house, almost surreal. And, being lucky enough to live fairly close to the city, I've been shunning public transport and walking into town each day via the harbour bridge, a novelty which has yet to wear off. And there's always the option of getting one of the ferries home, which is another cheap, great way to see the bay. It's so strange to think that there was absolutley nothing here just over two hundred years ago, and now...anyway, so what have I actually been up to, apart from soaking up the sights? Well, I had the pleasure of some 5-a-side footy with craig and his mates at North SYdney Oval (kinda satisfying playing footy on a cricket pitch, heh!), I've had a wee trip to the beaches at Manly and Palm Beach, and I've spent a good deal of time wandering around the botanical gardens. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I've still got MGF and the Blue Mountains to look forward to before I go...
