You never forget the first time, do you? I can't believe that I was seriously considering going
to that night's Killie-Morton game at Cappielow. As it turned out, the game was 0-0, and the
gig was fabulous. You know how it is when you first go to a gig, it's sooo loud, you keep
waiting on somone to come in and tell you to turn the music down. I tried to get down the
front for a better view, but was ruthlessly elbowed aside by much bigger and stronger types.
As for Nitzer Ebb themselves, they were tremendous fun to watch, hopping about stage like
lunatics. Plenty of nice t-shirts available post-show too, indulged myself in a nice little black
number, very smart and simple.

Okay, so this all sounds abit vague, eh? Basically, this was me and my woman at the time's
first weekend in Edinburgh, having just moved up to the big smoke from the west. Keen to
experience the festival at it's most extreme, we scoured the List for something to see, and
this show looked like the best bet for some outrageous fun. The band were a kind of
Christian Death outfit, but without the tunes. Nevertheless, after many drinks, this was
indeed a fine night, despite the somewhat comic appearance of the goths in the audience.
T-shirts were sadly unavailable.
