Shit! There's a few ways to warm up for a gig; watching Killie go 2-0 down at half-time, dashing to
Glasgow and getting smashed in the pub across the road is not one of them (hic!) In my defence, I
have seen the Delgados a zillion times, so I could be excused for wandering off to the bar mid-gig, bumping
into an old mate, and somehow ending up wandering the streets of Mount Florida armed only with a smoked
sausage supper and a sense of humour. You gotta think it was a good night out though eh?

Yup. I hadn't really listened to them much over the years, but I knew they were there, y'know? So they
were obviously the first choice on a lean weekend of entertainment, and boy did they rock! Ok, most of the
guys in the crowd were there on a perv-fest, but I genuinely though they were really good musicians :)
Besides, I had to make sure I got my space down the front in time for...

SPIDERBAIT
Blue stage

Hmm, gotta admit this was a bit rough down the front. OK, they're pretty good, but the audience were
overhyping things a bit. Only recognised 1 song that I really liked during the set, and it was Fucken
Awesome! But I could really have done without the feet in the face from all the wankers crowd-surfing
during the set, plus it would have been nice to move my arms and take a few photos. And you just knew the
last song was gonna be Black Betty...

LE TIGRE
CAT Essential Stage

Let's be honest, it was a bit ropey to begin with, what with the sound problems and not being able to
see their stuff to set up their songs. But it suddenly started to take off about halfway thru
and that was that. Only a couple of songs from the first album, but there you go, shit happens. And the
crowd could've been a bit friskier, but I suppose they're not really not that well known down under, which
is australia's loss. At the end of the day, with songs like Hot Topic and Decepticon and sychronised
dance moves and costumes, how can you go wrong?

Lilypad

What was Carl Cox doing on the Lilypad? How did I end up dancing there for five hours? Where did I get the
cowboy hat and the bottle of champagne? And when can I go back again?
