The Adequate Chibi Project
The Sailor Quartet was around the
computer, laughing at something. "What's so funny?" asked Chibi Usa,
walking up to them.
"We found this website with
some really dumb rumors on it," answered Ves Ves.
"This one here says Luna was
your mother," said Palla Palla.
"What? Are these people just
misinformed or stupid?" asked Chibi Usa.
"I don't know, but it seems
like this "Guy Rickles" likes to make stuff
up. He must be really bored," replied Ves Ves.
"Let's go to the college now.
We can look at more stupid rumors later," said Drana.
"There used to be a lot of
confusion about a lot of things regarding Sailor Moon back in the day. But we
know better now," said Emma, tagging along.
"Remember, if anything happens,
just run to a safe place," said Jun Jun.
"I will," replied Emma.
They entered the college building.
They asked some of the employees there where college students typically had
clubs on campus. Nothing turned up at the places they checked.
"Next on the list is a place
where the physics club used to meet. Let's check it out," said Chibi Usa.
They arrived on the fourth floor of
the science building. There were a few classrooms and a hidden door in a corner
on the west side.
On the hidden door was a sign
reading, "Stony Brook Physics Club". The room was dark and only lit
by the LED's of the computers running in the room. It was a room where some
transfer students from New York went to.
Drana turned on the lights. They saw a dozen people tied up in
chairs and gagged. "What the hell?" said Diana.
Lutina walked over, taking the rag out of one of their mouths.
"Thank God you're here. He said you would come," said a girl.
"Who are you?" asked Drana.
"I am Karla. We used to work
for him, but he left us here for dead. We were merely sock puppets to him.
Please, get us out of here."
Some of the other people who were
tied up and gagged were Ninfea, James, Ceres, Atome, Shara, Morrigu
and Koyokujin, to name a few. "Who did you work
for? The ambassador?" asked Kiusakun.
"Yes. He's not really an
ambassador, though," explained Karla.
While they were helping them get
free from their constraints, everyone heard a beeping sound. "What is that
sound?" asked Lutina.
"I don't know. It's coming from
somewhere in this room," said Kousagi.
"Get out of here now. It's a
trap," said Jun Jun.
"But what about saving these
people?" asked Cere Cere.
"We don't have time for that.
They'll just have to meet their fate," replied Jun Jun.
They quickly ran out of the room,
leaving the sock puppets behind. "Please, don't leave us here,"
begged Karla, scared out of her mind.
The sailor senshi
closed the door, running down the hallway as fast as they could. Fifteen
seconds later, there was an explosion, killing everyone in the room and
destroying the equipment there.
"It's too bad we couldn't save
at least one of them. They could've given us more information on the
ambassador," said Chibi Usa.
"That's the price they paid for
working with evil," said Tari.
"It was a trap all along. He
knew we would come here looking for him," realized Drana.
"Damn, where is this guy?"
said Anna.
"I don't know. It looks like
we've got to do more research," said Emma.
They went back to the moonie headquarters. Chibi Usa was checking her emails and
noticed a message from her father. The email read as follows, "How are
things going over there for you guys? I hope all is going well. I've heard
America can be a dangerous place, so I've recruited some help for you over
there. Please write back soon, your mother and I get worried. Love, Dad." Kousagi also read the message.
"I wonder what he means by
that?" asked Kousagi.
They continued doing research on
where the false ambassador Uranus might be. "Now it makes sense that we
couldn't find him online at any of the embassies. He isn't really an
ambassador; just posing as one," said Lutina.
"It seems he's always a step
ahead of us," said Ves Ves.
"It's getting late; we're going
to crash for the night." Kiusakun and Anna left.
The others soon followed, except Chibi Usa.
She stayed up late until she fell asleep at the keyboard.
"Wake up! It's 10:00
A.M.," said Emma, nudging her awake.
"I can't believe you were here
all night. You need to stop working yourself so hard," said Emma.
"Yeah, she's right. We'll take
over the researching for a couple of days. You need to take it easy,"
agreed Kiusakun.
"Yeah, maybe you're
right," agreed Chibi Usa. Chibi Usa, Kousagi,
Drana and the Sailor Quartet left to look around the
city.
"Isn't this much better than
sitting in front of the stupid computer all day?" asked Palla Palla.
"It sure is relaxing,"
agreed Chibi Usa.
They saw a small group of people
wandering around, as if they were looking for something. "Do you guys need
help finding something?" asked Ves Ves.
"I think we're getting
close," said a boy, holding a GPS unit.
"What are you doing?"
asked Palla Palla.
"We are geo-caching for an
object," answered a girl in the group.
"What is geo-caching?"
asked Kousagi.
"You've never heard of it
before? Well, it's like a treasure hunting game," explained a girl.
"Sounds fun," said Cere Cere.
"Would you like to join
us?" asked a boy.
"Sure! That is, if everyone
wants to," said Jun Jun, looking at the others.
"Why
not? Let's have some fun," agreed Chibi Usa.
"I think we're getting very
close now," said the boy.
They found a box, hidden behind some
bushes. Inside was a small, plastic Chibimoon figure.
It was damaged. "What the hell? Is that me? What happened to it?"
asked Chibi Usa.
"Different experiments have
been done on it," answered a girl.
"The people who started this
geo-caching game are in town right now. You should come with us and see what
they do. They're pretty funny," said a boy.
They decided to go. "This is so
weird. I didn't know they made small dolls of you," said Kousagi.
"I wonder if anyone has made
any dolls resembling us?" asked Jun Jun.
They went into a building where
there were booths set up representing different organizations. They walked up
to a booth named "The Chibi Project."
"Welcome, everyone. Our
organization specializes in testing the durability of different action figures.
We first began implementing various experiments on a small Chibimoon
figure. You can read about all of our past experiments on our web site,"
said a person in the booth.
They read about the experiments on
the small Chibimoon figure on a laptop there. Being
run over by a train, set on fire, sawed in half and being blasted off by a
rocket were just a few of the tests they had performed in the past.
"I don't believe this. This is
awful," said Chibi Usa.
Kousagi and the Sailor Quartet couldn't stop laughing. "I'm
sorry, but it's just so funny," said Kousagi. Chibi Usa
glared at them.
The toy was barely recognizable
being charred and cut in half. "That Chibimoon
figure is pure evil. She's almost indestructible," said a scientist at the
booth, laughing.
"How mean! She's not
evil!" yelled Chibi Usa.
"It's all in fun," said
the scientist, trying to calm her down.
"I want to file a
complaint," said Chibi Usa, angrily.
"You aren't serious, are
you?" asked the scientist.
The small Chibimoon
figure started shaking. The two separate pieces fused together and enlarged to
twenty times its original size. Everyone ran to safety. It headed towards the
sailor senshi. They ran out the building with the
large Chibimoon figure following them. "What the
hell just happened?" asked Jun Jun.
"I don't know. Is the so-called
"ambassador" playing another game with us?" thought Ves Ves.
"I think you're right,"
agreed Drana.
They hid behind a dumpster in an
alley, but it still managed to find them. They weren't able to hurt it much
with their attacks. "Those scientists at the booth were right, this thing
is virtually indestructible," realized Sailor Menard.
"Evil Bitter Dark Attack!"
said the Chibimoon figure. Many black hearts with
horns struck them hard. "Ouch, that hurt like a mother..," said
Sailor Juno.
A blue rose flew through the air,
striking the Chibimoon figure in the head. "As
the essence of an ice rose permeates the winter day, I, Chibi
Kamen, cannot forgive you for harming these young
ladies," said an adolescent boy, dressed up in a blue tuxedo, blue hat and
mask. The sailor senshi were speechless.
The Chibimoon
figure pulled the rose out of its head.
"I will destroy you myself in
honor of the sailor senshi," said Chibi Kamen, pulling out a cane.
He pressed a button on the cane, causing spikes to protrude from it.
He swung his cane at it. The spikes
stuck into it. His cane got stuck. The Chibimoon
figure smacked him with her PVC fists, knocking him down.
"Let's think back about this.
Out of all the experiments that were done on this thing, the most effective
were explosives and cutting it with sharp blades," remembered Sailor Chibimoon.
"You're right. I can take care
of the explosives," said Sailor Juno, using her Bomb Action attack.
Sailor Menard clasped her hands
together. A white light shined from them. She raised her hands in the air. The
white light shot up high into the sky. She moved her hands downward towards the
Chibimoon figure. The long line of white light
descended, slicing through it. The Chibimoon figure
reverted back into its original size. It was like it was before, blown up and
cut in two.
"Are you okay?" asked
Sailor Chibimoon, walking up to Chibi
Kamen.
"I am quite alright, maladies.
Glad to be of service."
"Who are you? How did you know
about us?" asked Sailor Chibimoon.
"I was recruited by your father
to help protect you while you were over here in the states."
Sailor Chibimoon
took off his mask.
"What are you doing? You aren't
supposed to know my secret identity yet!"
"Enough with the secrecy; who
are you?" asked Sailor Chibimoon.
"My real name is Lemay. I am
the American defender of the sailor senshi."
"Listen, we really don't need
someone risking their life for us. I appreciate what you and my dad are trying
to do, but the less people that get involved in this mess, the better,"
said Sailor Chibimoon.
"But, my skills with the rose
and cane are unsurpassed."
"Please, just go. I can't risk
having a foreigner being hurt or killed for us. I'll tell my father about this.
It was nice meeting you.
Lemay left.
They returned to The Chibi Project booth and handed them the small Chibimoon figure. "Get that thing away from us. We
always knew it was pure evil," said the scientists, cowering in the
corner.
"You don't want this
anymore?" asked Chibi Usa.
"No, just get it away from
us."
The girls walked off, throwing the
small Chibimoon figure in a trashcan.
"Are you still mad about what
they did to your likeness?" asked Drana.
"Nah, I'm ok. I think they're
pretty freaked about the whole thing anyway. Got what they deserved."
