Act XXIV
New member of the Quarter Evolution Band

It was lunch time at the school Chibiusa attended. Momo walked up to
her and sat down by her to go eat lunch with her. “How are you doing today?” asked Chibiusa. “I’m doing okay. School has been dragging on
today though. Hey, did you hear about what the Quarter Evolution band is doing?” asked Momo. “No. What are they doing?” asked Chibiusa. “Well, after one of their band members left the band, they have needed
someone to replace him. So they’re having auditions to see who will be
their next band member. I wish I could try out for the audition, but
they’re looking for a bass guitar player,” said Momo. Chibiusa wanted to
tell Momo of what she knew about the Quarter Evolution band, but knew Momo probably wouldn’t believe her; especially since she had no proof. ‘What is the enemy planning now?’ thought Chibiusa to herself. “Is something the matter? You have a concerned look on your face,” said
Momo. ”No, I’m fine,” said Chibiusa.

Another couple of days had passed. Back at the hotel room on the
sixteenth floor, Merrill and Groce Jr. had walked into the apartment room
and looked tired. “So, how did the auditions go today?” asked Nebekker. “Well, I think we’ve finally found someone to be the new member of our band,” said Groce Jr. “Really? Who is it?” asked Callister. “We will
introduce him to everyone shortly. We are going to take him to our
garage where we can jam. You will meet him then,” said Merrill. “Are we going to tell him about Valsurania and our money scheming plans?” asked Nebekker. “Of course not; we don’t know if we can trust him with that
kind of information yet. We’ll just dispose of him when we no longer have
a use for him. We only recruited him because we really need a new bass guitar player,” said Groce Jr. “By the way, do we have any funding scams going on right now?” asked Merrill “I have one in place right now and it is going along very smoothly so far,” said Groce Jr.

Chibiusa had scheduled a meeting with everyone to talk about the
Quarter Evolution band. Everyone was there except for Tari. “Where is
Sailor Virago?” asked Chibiusa. “She left with Ami and Setsuna earlier
today to show them the space thingies in the forest,” said Kousagi. “Oh. Hopefully we’ll find out more about the enemy from that. Well, I wanted
to talk about the new band’s recruiting of new band members,” said
Chibiusa. “It seems as though they’re at a loss now that one of their
band members is dead,” said Kiusako. “Whatever it is they’re planning, we’ve got to keep a close eye on them and who they plan on recruiting to
be their new band member,” said Chibiusa.

Tari, Ami and Setsuna had arrived at the forest where Tari had found the space pods earlier. “They’re just hidden under some of these bushes and trees,” said Tari. As they walked through the bushes and vines, they
could see four, metallic gray, oval shaped space crafts which were sunk about four feet into the ground. They were about fifteen feet tall and
seven feet wide. They had very long doors about ten feet long. The space pod’s doors were sealed shut except for one of them which still had its
door ajar. Ami and Setsuna were very surprised at what they saw as they had never seen anything like it before. They began examining the space pods. “Very strange craftsmanship that I’ve never seen before,” said Setsuna. “Yes, it is rather odd,” said Ami. They looked inside the space
pod that had a door ajar and looked inside. There were four places for creatures to be transported in the pods. Ami walked in to examine some more of the space pod. The door to the space pod swung shut. Setsuna
and Tari frantically tried to get the door open as Ami calmly continued to study the interior of the device.

Kiusako was at work when he got a message from someone named Otaku Takuro on his instant messenger program. “Hey, it’s been a while. Let’s
have lunch tomorrow and catch up on old times,” said the message from Otaku Takuro. Kiusako agreed to meet him the next day as he was an old friend he had known for a little while. The next day, they met at a nearby restaurant to have lunch. “So how are you and Anna?” asked Otaku
Takuro. “We’re doing very well. We both really enjoy our jobs a lot,” said Kiusako. “You’re so lucky to be working in the video game industry. I’ve always thought that would be fun,” said Otaku Takuro. “Yeah, it sure
beats that loser job we had at that website hosting company,” said
Kiusako. “Oh man, I was so glad to get out of that place. I hated
Heritage Web Solutions,” said Otaku Takuro. “I know what you mean; no benefits until after a year, no holiday/sick pay, no extra pay for having a degree..” “And the list goes on. I’m surprised they haven’t gone out of business with the way they run their sweat shop company,” said Otaku Takuro interrupting Kiusako. “So how is your new job now?” asked
Kiusako. “It’s so much better than our last job together. I’ve only been
there six months, but I like it. Our supervisor in the IT department is a moron though. Making everyone use a stupid program which is costing the company millions of yen,” said Otaku Takuro. “Really? Doesn’t anyone
else object to this program?” asked Kiusako. “Those who have were fired
by him and the owners of the company are waiting to see what happens because they trust him. It’s just a big mess. But enough about that, take
a look at my latest pet project,” said Otaku Takuro, opening his laptop. Kiusako saw a voyeur site on his laptop. “You’ve made your own voyeur website?” asked Kiusako. “Yep; I’ve been a voyeur for a while now and
have got some sweet shots,” said Otaku Takuro. “You’re such a pervert. You’re going to be one of those perverted little grandpas that are always joked about in anime shows,” said Kiusako.

Back at the band’s hotel room, Groce Jr. was chatting with someone on
the internet. “So how is the new Ten Fold program working out?” posted Groce Jr. “So far so good; this company has spent millions on this
worthless program that doesn’t work. Valsurania will be pleased,” replied someone named Darren. “Great! In the meantime, take a look at this
graphic design I did for my website,” replied Groce Jr. as he showed him
the location of his design. “It is very good sir,” replied Darren. “Hey, what are you doing?” asked Nebekker walking by Groce Jr. “Oh, take a look at
my graphic design. Isn’t it the best? I’d say it’s fair to bet I’m the best around,” said Groce Jr. Nebekker took a look at it. “It’s okay. Not too
bad,” said Nebekker. “What? I am the talented Groce Jr. Nobody
compares to my intelligence and skill.” Nebekker took a look at who he
was chatting with on his laptop. “Who’s Darren?” asked Nebekker. “He’s helping me implement my multi-million funding plan,” said Groce Jr.
“Who’s Rufus? Is that the name you go by on the internet?” asked
Nebekker. “Yeah, that’s me,” said Groce Jr. “What a lame name. It
reminds me of that loser on Final Fantasy 7,” said Nebekker. “What are
you talking about? He was the best character ever,” said Groce Jr. “No, he was a weakling who sucked ass,” said Nebekker leaving the room. Groce
Jr. continued to talk with Darren on the internet.

Kiusako was at his house with Anna and Lutina. “Oh, so you think that
the enemy may be planning a money scam where your friend works? What was the name of the company?” asked Lutina. “Xango. I’m almost sure
that is what’s going on. He told me the company is throwing millions of
yen into a piece of junk program,” said Kiusako. “And what is the name of the person who is implementing this major money scheme?” asked Anna. “I’m not sure. But I know that he is a supervisor over their IT department.
I can find out who he is and then we can plan our attack,” said Kiusako. “Should we wait for Kousagi and Chibiusa to come and help us?” asked Lutina. “We should surprise attack them as soon as possible even though Kousagi and Chibiusa aren’t available right now,” said Kiusako. The three agreed to go later that night to Xango and put an end to the enemy’s schemes.

Later that night, they arrived at Xango. They went up to the receptionist’s desk and Kiusako asked to see Otaku Takuro. The receptionist called him and in a couple of minutes, Otaku Takuro came down and greeted Kiusako and the others. “What brings you here? Who is that with you and Anna?” asked Otaku Takuro. “This is a friend of ours named Lutina. Listen, can
we talk with you up in your work area?” asked Kiusako. “Sure. What’s this about?” asked Otaku Takuro. “I’ll explain later,” said Kiusako as he and
the others followed Otaku Takuro up to the second floor where he worked. “So, what’s this all about?” asked Otaku Takuro. “Where does your supervisor work?” asked Kiusako. “Down the hall from here; why do you ask?” asked Otaku Takuro. Lutina felt something touch her leg. She
looked down and saw that Otaku Takuro had his hand underneath her
skirt and that he had a small camera taking a panty shot. “I’m sorry, it’s
not what you think,” said Otaku Takuro. “What are you doing you damn pervert!” said Lutina as she axe kicked him in the head, knocking him out. “Well, at least I didn’t have to explain everything to him. Let’s go and
take his supervisor by surprise,” said Kiusako. They walked down the hall and to the office door where the supervisor was. On the door read the
name “Darren Pulsipher.”

“Who the hell are you people?” asked Darren as the three entered his
office. “We know all about your plan to steal all the money this company
is throwing into a stupid program which is supposed to help their
business,” said Kiusako. “How the hell did you know that?” asked Darren. “Let’s just say we have some inside sources,” said Kiusako as he, Anna
and Lutina transformed.

Anna used her star ray attack and blew Darren across the room. Darren quickly picked himself up off of the ground and started laughing. “This
Ten Fold program that this company has wasted millions on was the
perfect plan. I told them it was supposed to increase their productivity
and profits ten fold. But what it’s really designed to do is increase their problems and costs ten fold. But you three will never live to tell anyone about it,” said Darren as he turned into his true self. He turned into a
super geek with big thick glasses, wearing pants pulled up to his chest,
and wearing a pocket protector and suspenders. “There is also another secret of this program, it increases my powers ten fold,” said Pulsipher.

Sailor Star and Sailor Kurozuki used their attacks against Pulsipher but he was unaffected by them. He then shot their attacks back at them with ten fold the power they had before. They dodged the brunt of the attack but were still hit in its area of affect and were knocked down on the ground. “You bastard,” said Sailor Earth using his Gaia Rache attack. Pulsipher
just blocked the attack and sent it back Sailor Earth’s way. The speed and power of the attack were increased ten fold and Sailor Earth was knocked
onto the ground as well. The three could barely move and fight back.
“Well, that was certainly easier than I thought,” said Pulsipher mockingly.
“I think I’ll kill these two girls first,” said Pulsipher, facing Sailor Star and Sailor Kurozuki.

‘I’ve got to stop this insane freak,’ thought Sailor Earth to himself. Sailor Star and Sailor Kurozuki tried attacking him but his defenses had been increased ten fold. “You’re too weak to beat me. You’re going to die now,” said Pulsipher. In an act of desperation, Sailor Earth yelled and said “Quaternary Schism.” A large sphere divided up in to four sections flew towards Pulsipher and hit him. Pulsipher was cut deeply in four places and fell to the ground. Pulsipher got up and tried defending himself but he wasn’t as strong as he was before. “What did you do to me?” asked Pulsipher. Pulsipher’s ten fold program that he used to enhance himself
was split up four ways and weakened. The sailor senshi realized the
chance they had to finish him off. Sailor Star and Sailor Kurozuki used
their Penta Star Ray and Electromagnetic Fissure Bang attacks
respectively and destroyed him.

Later the next night, Chibiusa and Kousagi were watching the news
because they were going to announce who the new band member for the Quarter Evolution band would be. “And here is the new recruit to the
Quarter Evolution band. His name is Kumada Yuuichirou,” said the news reporter as Yuuichirou was seen on tv with the band. “What? That’s Rei’s ex,” said Chibiusa stunned.
