Sailor Moon is a cartoon about a teenage girl who is really a long lost princess. With the help of her friends she finds her lost prince and lives happily ever after. On the way she helps other people and makes the world a better place. It sounds good. But is it really? The girl, Usagi is lazy. She loves to eat. She also sleeps with her boyfriend (the lost prince) Mamoru when she is only 15 years old. At the time Mamoru is 18, he is guilty of statutory rape. Sex before marriage is a bad message this cartoon is sending to youngsters everywhere. Many teenagers will watch this show and think it is ok to sleep around when it is not. The fire priestess Rei is another bad example. She does readings for customers. She consults with spirits, this is forbidden by the Bible. She has no shame and is always throwing herself on the prince Mamoru. This cartoon is full of occultic themes, witness the girls transforming and calling out to the planets of the solar system to give them magic powers. This is wrong! The Bible cautions us not to worship the stars or planets but to have faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ alone. Another bad thing about this cartoon is the way the girls dress. Whenever they wear a skirt it is always too short, their underwear shows. This is portrayed as ‘cute’ and ‘adorable’ but is really demeaning to young women everywhere. Michiru is another bad character. She has no self control, she chases another girl Haruka around. Homosexuality is shown to be natural and a welcome way of living when it is most unnatural. Haruka is not a good example, she is always chasing other girls. Likewise Michiru throws herself at Seiya. The lifestyles these characters lead is unrealistic. They are all rich, even the ones who do not work. The Starlights are idols in the music world, Usagi and her friends worship them. The Lord says that no-one should have any idols before Him. Haruka drives cars and motorbikes, tellingly she does not even have her driver’s license. Many impressionable young people will look at her and think it is ok to drive around without a license. It is not, this is breaking the law. Unfortunately this cartoon is still popular and can be viewed online. Adults and teenagers think it is a cartoon that emphasizes ‘girl power’ but it is really a catalyst for acceptance of occult, depraved lifestyles. This is how the devil tricks people into accepting a form of entertainment as ‘good’ when it is anything but.
