February of
2001...Yeah, it's changed versions and names since then (from
More Than Simply JACKIE to
In Element), and a bunch of stuff was added and taken away and junk like that...
I made this site using Angelfire's Advanced Editor, coding in HTML, getting codes from HTML help sites and playing around with stuff on my own until I created something interesting-looking. I'm not the best at this webmaster stuff, but I guess I'm pretty decent. I used to be up-to-date with codes (since I taught myself HTML back when it was practically new), but now I'm just... eh. Stuck in the past.
Since this site is provided by Angelfire, it's got a bunch of pop-up stuff (annoying, yes, I know), so just keep that minimized so it doesn't pop up and bug you every time you visit a new page of my site.
Since times have caught up with me, I don't think this site will give your computer any problems anymore. There's waaay more advanced stuff out there than this.
What's with the name?
I changed this site's name to In Element when I got tired of its old name, More Than Simply JACKIE. So what's with this new name, anyway?
Being in your element is a way in which you're loose and relaxed and happy with the way things are around you. My site is a combination of all the things that put me in my element... My 8th grade social studies teacher once told me that "You are truly in your element on stage." (which isn't true anymore - heehee) I liked the ring of that phrase, and it always stuck in my mind... I decided that I liked it enough to make it the name of my site. It's more creative than Jackie's Site or About Jackie, ne?
