Pain is but a higher form of pleasure.

I am not a licensed piercer but I am well studied and feel I have the knowledge and understanding do so. This is NOT a How-To nor is it saying you should attempt this at home.

It all started in about '97...I got my first piercing besides my lobes, an 18ga very poorly home pierced(by a friend) helix piercing. As the first in my whole elementary school, me being in the 5th grade, I felt very special and unique. I loved the way others looked at me in awe and even disgust. The piercing did not last that long. After countless infections and built up scar tissue I took it out after about 6 months.

Over the next few years I discovered BME. I spent hours and hours looking at the beautiful piercings in the photo gallery and got lost in the experiences and FAQs. This was it...I had discovered my obsession, I had discovered the world of body modification. I fell in love with everything about it, I fell in love with pain. The simple feeling of the bevel of a needle slicing my skin is enough to make me tremble in desire.

Here about 37 piercings(i do not still have them all) later I decide that I want to treat myself to a horizontal nipple piercing. I had done this once before but lost the piercing to rejection. This is going to be a nice night I thought as I set on my bed in my candle lit room. I carefully studied my nipples size and shape, then found a CBR the correct size to fit. I decided to go with a 14ga 3/4in. CBR for my 3/8in. nipple. Although a 3/4in. CBR was a bit much for my small breast I did not want too much pressure on my nipple so I went with it anyway.

I put my CBR, penningtons, two small rubber bands and opening/closing pliers in a clean steel pan and soaked them in Miltex Surgical Instrument Cleaner for 45 minutes. While my tools were soaking I spread a trash bag over my dresser and wiped it down with bleach along with a small hand mirror. I set my gloves, a surgical marker and a cup of ice water to one side and a betadine antiseptic gauze pad and a sterile piercing needle to the other. I put on a pair of gloves, washed my hands in bleach, rinsed my tools in hot water then put them in another bleached pan.

I turned the lights out and set four candles around me, one to the North, the East, the South and the West. Closing my eyes and breathing contently I started down a beautiful trail as I began to meditate. After about fifteen minutes of meditation and preparation i was ready to pierce.

I used a cotton ball dipped in ice water to make my nipple erect. I opened the antiseptic pad and wiped my nipple and breast down with it then carefully marked on both sides where the needle would pass through. After a change of gloves I was ready to pierce. I took a few deep breaths and cleared my mind. I looped both rubber bands around the neck of my penningtons, pulled my nipple out and clamped. The sharp feeling of the clamps put a smile on my face. Holding the clamps in my left hand I took the needle in my right and lined it up to the dots with the bevelpointing out. A deep breath then counted to three. One...Two...Three! Huh? Oh yeah I was supposed to push. One...Two...Another deep breath and I carefully slid the needle through. The pain was not as I remember, this time it didn't hurt. Since my last nipple piercing I have became more at one with pain and no longer feel it as "bad", but instead a higher form of pleasure. Once the needle was in and slid to the end i placed the CBR carefully against the edand pushed it on through. Before one of my greatest mistakes had been trying to pull the needle and push the CBR at the same time so this time I just pushed with the CBR. The needle fell to the dresser; I adjusted the CBR and took the penningtons off. It couldn't have gone any better than that. I took a few more deep breaths and a moment to savor the pain. Then with the pliers I closed the CBR and put the bead on. Used a clean cotton ball with some water to wash away the betadine and a bit of blood.

After i was cleaned up i took some 'private time' to savor the feeling, which surprisingly lasted well over an hour.

Before bed I did a quick salt soak to wash the dried blood off. I cut a 2in. circle out of a paper towel, made a cut to the center to make a cone shaped 'madonna bandage', as i called it, which fits perfect over the breast but hardly touches the nipple to put pressure on it.

And with that its the end of a beautiful beginning.

I would like to make a special thanks to Shannon Larratt, Jon Cobb, Lish, Allen Faulkner, Shawn Porter and Damian McGrath and also to everyone that has helped BME grow. Without your effort i would not be who i am today.

Sincerely, HeTher BeeZlee
