Monday, April 5, 2010 Anoka Minnesota 32 Years Ago When I was a kid,and Anoka still was consider FarmVille.I had an encounter with my Uncle while spending the weekend there. It was probably about 8:30 at night,and it wasn't pitch dark,but was getting there. I was 9 years old at the time,and did not know a whole lot about flying saucers,other than a few old black & white TV shows.I never dwelled on them,or even considered if they were real,or not real.So this sighting was like a big eye opener,and seeing something for the first time. We were having a big bon fire in back,and we were talking about alot of different things,Mostly subjects that would interest a kid. While he was talking to me,he abruptly stopped and talked out loud to himself,that "there has never been a light pole in the neighbors cornfield before. There was a corn field across the dirt road from us,and automatically he said lets go for a walk,and check this out.I found nothing more exciting than to take a walk down a dark country road with my uncle.I was having fun..:) The light in the corn field did not interest me none.It was just a light pole we were going go look at,and nothing more.It was the walk,and the adventure of being out at night,without my mom telling me it;s time for bed.A big difference than life back in the cities. As we got closer,that light was pretty much centered in the corn field,and it was a good size plot.Maybe 50 acres.The corn was standing 6 feet tall..so we had to hop the barb-wired fence,and we walked between a corn row till we got closer to it. During this time he talked out loud to himself in confusion,and baffled to where,and why,and how a light pole was all of a sudden placed in his neighbors corn field.He was wondering why his neighbor put one in there in the middle of all places.It made no sense at all to him. It only took 3 minutes to get to this light,and right then,and there we new it was no light pole. We stopped,and both looked at it.I think we were both going through our minds trying to lend defanition to what this thing was.There was no fear at all,because it just did not dawn us us,that this was a flying saucer..At first that is. After a minute..there was no doubt what this light was.It was a floating,silent,solid object.It was maybe 40 feet long,and 20 feet wide.It was almost black in color,and even had windows,or openings that looked like windows. We're were about maybe 50 feet from it,but it was maybe 100 feet above the corn. The light came from below it,and that's why we did not see it from my uncles back yard.A person could only see the light,and that looked no different than really any other light one would see from a distance off. It was so close to us we could have thrown a rock at it,and hit it. Then just as soon as we discovered it.It then silently starting moving across the corn field at a very slow speed.Then it stopped again,and just silently sat there maybe 100 feet above the corn,a couple hundred yards down. My uncle said come on,because he was not through trying to figure out what this thing is,and is this for real.He was seeing something he still could not believe.It did not fit in with his way of thinking. But soon as we started walking towards it again,it moved,and then went to another part of the corn field,and did the same thing.It just hoovered there silently. So we ran my to the house,and got in his truck,and floored it back there hoping we'd be able to keep up with it. By the time we got back..we watched it go East at a slow pace,and just kept going. My uncle passed away a few years back,and every time I saw him,he'd still talk about that event till the day he died. Years later we learned there were alot of strange events in Anoka that night,and the days that followed it. This is a true story. Home Page
