HTML options
Using an HTML skeleton
You may have a standard HTML page in which you want to place the ImageSafe generated applet.
This is done by using an HTML skeleton. The HTML sketeton is an ordinary HTML file with included
the special tag "IMAGESAFE" (the letters can be upper or lower case).
When creating the applets this tag will be replaced by the ImageSafe applet HTML
and all the surrounding HTML will be unchanged. This means a standard page which includes
advertising banners or other information can be constantly reused with different images.
Setting the HTML file suffix
HTML files can either have the suffix ".html" or ".htm". Sometimes you may want to work only
with ".htm" files when you are also using a product like Microsoft's Frontpage. By setting
the suffix option ImageSafe will only create HTML files with the suffix specified. This
option also effects the files listed by the file chooser.
Creating one, many or no HTML files
If you choose to put the HTML into the system clipboard you may feel comfortable in not generating the HTML file. However
it may be handy to have the file generated anyway in case you need to repaste the HTML later on. There are two options
for HTML file creation. Either you can create one HTML file for each image you protect or if you are protecting images
in a batch then one HTML file can be created for all the images.
If you switch on the single HTML file option then you will be asked for the name
of the HTML file to create and this can be entered with or without the ".html" postfix.
If there is only one image in the batch then the filename will not be asked for.
Putting the HTML in to the clipboard
This option allows the HTML relevant to the image to be put into the clipboard so it can be pasted directly into a larger
page of HTML. When generating the applets for multiple images in one go, ALL the HTML for all the applets is put into
the clipboard for pasting. Using the clipboard is probably the best way of inserting the applet HTML using an HTML editor
like Frontpage.
Centering the image
If the ImageSafe applet is the only thing to appear on a webpage
it is often a good idea to center it. This option achieves this
by inserting the tags into the HTML.
The webpage background
This option doesn't effect the applet. It is used purely to include a background color
with the generated "" tag of the HTML. This can be altered later by editing the
HTML manually.
