The following
documentation was generated as term assignment for a real business
while learning Systems Analysis. While leading the Copper Ridge
project team, I created these diagrams as my contribution to
the group's effort. Listed below are the various industry standard
diagramming methods and explanations:
Context
Diagram: This diagram is a preliminary diagram conducted
in the study phase of a project. It depicts the organizations
entities and basic inputs and outputs as well as how the company
operates.
Entity Relationship Diagram or ERD: This diagram depicts all
the entities and their specific attributes and how they relate
to each other. It delves deeper than the previous diagram (ERD)
and provides the analyst with useful information.
Data Flow Diagram or DFD Level One: This diagram shows the analyst
exactly how the business works on a transactional level. Also,
it shows how the database is incorporated in to the system.
It breaks down each process and leads into the next one.
Data Flow Diagram or DFD Level Two: This diagram is exactly
like the DFD Level One however; it goes deeper in that it further
breaks down each process into a sub-processes.
Current Copper Ridge Organization Chart: This chart is a graphical
representation of the markets employee and managerial structure
before restructuring. · Proposed Copper Ridge Organization
Chart: This chart is a graphical representation of the markets
employee and managerial structure after restructuring. ·
Project Copper Ridge Organization Chart: This diagram shows
