Fight Club Soundtrack
Fight Club was a great movie and I'll have my
review up for it soon. One of the many thing that
impressed me about this film was its flawless
soundtrack. I found out after the movie that the
entire score was done by the Dust Brothers. At this
time, I expressed interest in buying this record.
It's almost a month after my initial viewing of
Fight Club, but I know own a copy of its soundtrack.
Let me just say that I can't stop listening to it.
Each of the 16 tracks has its own mood. Hell, each
track is its own complete album in three to six
minutes. What I mean is that every song has its own
changes of pace and mood. It's really cool.
The Dust Brothers' drum machine/ synthesizer/
whatever work is outstanding. A few standouts on this
CD are "Who is Tyler Durden?", "Space Monkeys",
"Stealing Fat" and "Commissioner Castration". The most
hands-down fucking cool song is the last one, "This is
Your Life". In it, there is about two minutes worth of
Tyler Durden's uplifting rants.
"I say, may I never be complete."
