Beef - Stink Stank Stunk!
Man oh man, is this CD the fucking tops. Great
cover artwork, too (drugged-out Fred Flintstone-type
leaning against a pole with a bottle of wine as Wilma
hitches a ride to somewhere...). See, Beef have
consistenly put out some of the best seven-inches
around, quality wise, and I have spent many Maxells on
compilations of them. One CD full of them is just
plain convenient.
If I started talking about the songs, I would sound
dorkier than I am in my gushing appreciation, so I
will attempt to restrain myself.
The impact of the songs didn't get lost in
transition. "Towncar" is still one of the best songs
ever, "Sanford and Son" catchy punk that's a huge
radio hit somewhere smarter in the universe, "Nicole
Kidman" is still a song about DFFQI's favorite
chemistry class coke-slut, "Food and Weed" encapsules
the basic needs and principles of life perfectly, and
"Mr Coffee" is still perfect.
Shell out the eight bucks now, you cheap bastard.
