STAR WARS: EPISODE III - THE BURNING TIMES
Notes

Here it is, the final chapter in the STAR WARS saga. Yeah, yeah. I know it's not official, but it's out WAY before Lucas's.

These are just quick basic notes.

I'll go into them later.

See, I just learned that RONIN WARRIORS will return to the air. Memories. Fitting. Very fitting. Just read the script.

Ok, rather than list individual references, I'll just list some of the series that have been nodded to in the script...

FINAL FANTASY VII
FINAL FANTASY VIII
XENOGEARS
REBOOT
PRETENDER
FUTURAMA
MACROSS
BABYLON 5

The final Obi-Wan / Anakin fight was actually written long ago. You can see it posted in its original form as a separate document.

Timing.

Timing was the hardest part about this script. The final scene with Obi-Wan and Amidala always existed, but I needed to go to Naboo earlier on. So, they went twice. Also, Palpatine's a hologram on the Nemesis because of timing. I just didn't think he could get back to the zeboim ruins in time.

Repetition. Repetition. Repetition.

We learn through repetition. It's just like Delenn, Lennier, and Dukat.

Read the script a few times.

Zip and Dead City.

I used "zip" a lot. ReBoot anyone? Also, I couldn't use the term "dead city" enough.

Religious undertones.

I love religious undertones.

Atkinson Rain.

Originally, she was going to be killed by Anakin. Then, she was going to die over Neimodia Prime or just disappear.

I like what I finally decided to do with her much better.

Are those kids Luke and Leia?

I don't know. It can be interpreted as that. Originally, Obi-Wan was just going to do that Jedi trick for a lone Naboo girl, but as I typed it, I thought about it. I included a boy. You can believe that it is Luke and Leia. You're not right, and you're not wrong. I don't say.

Son of the Suns.

Imagine FFVII's "One-Winged Angel", FFVIII's "Liberi Fatali", XENOGEARS's "Alpha and Omega", and STAR WARS's "Duel of the Fates" and "Imperial March".

Roll them all into one.

There you have it... the quintessential Jedi duel fight song.

Casting?

Atkinson Rain - Jules Asner
Nayu "Yow" Ofori - "Weird" Al Yankovic
Xander Lords - Robin Atkin Downes
Circe-Kai Hayase - Claudia Christian

Commodore Antilles - Rowan Atkinson
