The Shadows... what are they really?
What are the Shadows? I mean, what ARE they really? Has this question ever been pondered or answered?

The Vorlons are creatures of Light, transported in Encounter Suits, but what of the Shadows? Are they also creatures of Light? They cannot be Darkness, since Darkness is just the absence of Light?

So, what are the Shadows?

Are they also creatures of Light, just trapped within prisons of black? If so, they sure have wicked looking Encounter Suits.

Or, perhaps the Shadows are nothing of the sort. Perhaps they followed another course of evolution or devolution. Perhaps their physical forms hardened around them, burying them deep below, where feeling means nothing. Where hearts do not exist.
