Richard Belzer's Ulrich returns to run the detective business, as John's trial drags on. Kosh and Stacey plan their marriage.

John Sheridan is found guilty. Ulkosh and Anna, realizing how quickly things can change, elope and wed. They, too, move to Belgium. Morden and Lorien frantically try to save Sheridan. At the same time, the city is rocked by the worst serial killer in its history. Richard Belzer's Ulrich and Co. try everything to put an end to the killings.

The trial of John Sheridan enters its sentencing faze. Mr. Morden tries, unsuccessfully, to break John out of jail, but lands himself in the big house. John Sheridan is sentenced to be shot out of a cannon into the sun.

John Sheridan awaits his death as a serial killer continues to stalk the streets. A talkative Mr. Morden tries to cheer John up.

"Death of a Ranger"
John Sheridan learns the identity of the city's serial killer, but has no way to inform Richard Belzer's Ulrich. John and Mr. Morden are given their last meals. John has fruit. Mr. Morden prefers live kittens.

"And We Shall All Come Together In A Better Place"
News of John Sheridan's execution reaches Belgium. Kosh ponders what to do. Sex with Stacey is good, but having Ulkosh as a neighbor is bad. As the cannon is aimed up at the sun, Kosh returns! He saves John Sheridan at the very last moment. Mr. Morden waits for his savior, but none comes. He is shot into the heart of the sun.

Kosh, Stacey, Ulkosh, and Anna all move back to the city. They throw a huge party in honor of John. Following the party, things get back to business. John and Kosh go out and find that serial killer who has been menacing the city for ever so long.
