Acclaimed British newcomers Coldplay will launch their first-ever North American tour February 8 in Vancouver, British Columbia, in support of the band's just-released debut album, Parachutes.

"Yellow", the first single from Parachutes, is already earning heavy rotation at such Modern Rock stations as KROQ-FM in Los Angeles. The song has been licensed by ABC-TV to use in the network's holiday season promotional spots.
