The pile of shoes made at the front door from the bands and the early showgoers.

Around 15 people showed up at Club Madrid at 7 or so- the club's electricity was out because a thunderstorm had come through earlier that day. Everyone waited there for 30 minutes or so.. then Kristen decided to save the show by calling her parents and asking if we could hold the show in their living room. Everyone packed into cars and caravaned to her house. Everyone took off their shoes at the front door and was walkin around in their socks finer truth didn't get to play, but kristen's mom ordered vegan pizza and her parents moved the the furniture and welcomed us into their home. FIGHTING ACADEMY opened with a fantastic set. The acoustics were about as good as they could be considering the situation at hand. FA was a surprise to me, I had never heard them before the show- no dancing, but I was impressed. TWELVE TRIBES played next and a lot of people got into them. They were pretty good, but I didn't like them enough to buy a cd- but they were enjoyable. kinda different. by the time POISON THE WELL began, the crowd had tripled in size. This was the best set of the night, by far.. PTW fucked shit up. Lots of people were trying to singalong, but it wasn't too wild- high-energy hardcore- bad ass sound, i had heard them before the show- and i knew they would be fun to watch, but damn.. they were great.

The cops evenutally showed up during one of their last songs, but everything was settled down. Everyone thanked Kristen for opening up her home to us.

Best Part?: everyone was in socks, even the bands Worst Part?: Short sets Show: A
