Atlantic
swallowing the atlantic
I hear, is not an easy task
it's salty, it's bitter
and it tends to flow
past your throat too fast
but the atlantic is on the top
of this not too totem, totem pole
and the atlantic is sure
to swallow you whole
I don't believe in superiors
above average, or rank
if this were a battle I would be
the first ship that the
great atlantic sank
I earned my sea legs
when I was fifteen
to cold, cold water
at a local fresh water stream
oceans are scary
never too sure
because you can't walk on water
without a steady floor
my water is clear again,
a clear clear blue
i'm keeping it that way
by keeping it clean of
fishes and streams
and the things that they do
