HQ

The HQ is the most important unit as you get only one of them and
if it is destroyed you lose the game. It is the most heavily
armour unit. Never leave your HQ unprotected as it could lose you
the game. Your HQ is also your primary refueling point. It has
unlimited ammo and fuel which can be picked up by refueling
trucks and given to units. You should also protect you supply
line as an army is only as good as is supplies.
IFV

The IFV is the fastest unit in OA2 and is therefore good as an advance scout.
It can carry either a 50cal or a radar. Combined with a radar
the IFV is a very effective scouting unit. Knowing exactly
where the enemy is coming from will give you a huge advantage
when it comes to setting up an
ambush
Hover Tank

The hover tank is unaffected by terrain types and can move accros any tile
excpet walls. The tank can not stop over water and does not get a speed
increase from driving on the road. Use this tank wisely and you could
find your self put easy shots through the soft rear armour of the enemy tanks.
Use it wrong and you could find yourself with no hover-tanks left.
Light Tank

The light tank is designed to bring cheap fire to bear on the enemy but
is not so good at taking the punishment. It is best used as a rear guard
or as a flank-stopper. It is also useful a flanking force as it can get
to the flanks quicker than a medium tank.
Medium Tank

The medium tank is the all-rounder of Operation Alpha 2. With more armour
than the light tank and greater speed than the heavy tank. This tanks
90mm smooth-bore gun has a 15% advantage other the others when it comes
to muzzle velocity. This gives it a large advantage with range and a small
advantage with penetration.
Heavy Tank

The heavy tank returns, retaining its twin-barreled turret from operation
alpha 1. With its heavy composite armour on the front it is almost impossible
to destroy in a head-on conflict. Never let the enemy get behind this giant,
as a well placed sabot round would be devestating. Its twin barrels mean that
it can deliver twice the payload to the enemy.
Artillery Truck

The artillery is very useful for bringing large amounts of fire to bear on
the enemy position from a protected position behind walls. The artillery
is extremely effective at stopping the enemy advance because it tends to hit
the vulnerable top armour. A heavy tank is only as good as an IFV if you
hit it from above. Try to destroy the enemy artillery as swiftly as you can.
An IFV becomes very useful when it is acting as a spotter for your artillery.
Artillery Implacement

The artillery implacement is very heavily armoured and is intended for use
as a base defense unit. Two or three of these should stop most attacks in
there tracks. Combined with a Sensor unit this implacement can have the
enemy under fire well before they spot you.
Supply Truck

The supply truck is vital to your attack and defence forces alike. Away from
the base these are the only things keeping your tanks moving. The truck is
rather vulnerable to attack as it has no defense. You can not place a turret
on this vehicle as it will automatically have a refuel turret placed on it.
The refuel truck must stock up at the home base so it must have protection
on its route between the attack force and home-base.
