Larc
A demonic warrior working for Draconis, the dragon of darkness. Larc was an honorable warrior who became Draconis's dragoon after his death, unknowing what Draconis meant to do. With his new powers, Larc fights to fulfill his master's plans. Sierra is Larc's sister. Strategy: With his low speed and high power, use Larc defensively. Rising Crush, Axe Yo-yo and Boulder can all work to get the enemy away from him. Battle Plan: If you can manage to get close to him, his slow speed makes it difficult for Larc to get the first hit in. Combos: Similar Fighters: Hulk Stats: Power*: 7 Energy: 5 Defense: 5 Speed: 3 Ratio: 2 Special Moves: Rising Crush*: Larc does an uppercut attack with his axe (A) Axe Yo-yo*: Throws his axe at the enemy. Comes back to Larc's hand Boulder*: Larc throws a large rock straight up. Never does come down (E) Force Counter: Absorbs an enemy melee attack (C) and he slams them backward w/ the axe Basic Throw: Holds the enemy up with one hand, hits with his axe Bonus: When in critical, Larc gains +2 to his Defense Launcher: A rising axe cut Hyper Attacks: Boulder Dash*: A series of Boulders. Like Hulk's Gamma wave. Sierra
The dragoon of the White Dragoon, Vadise. Sierra works to protector nature and the natural order. When Draconis's forces attempt to steal the energy of the dragons of nature, Sierra is forced to battle against the horde, which is lead by her own brother, Larc. Strategy: Despite her quickness, Sierra is best used as a projectile character. Her dagger specials as well as the Air cutter are superb middle distance attacks. Also, teleporting can be used to stay away from the enemy. Battle Plan: Sierra is a decent all-around fighter. The key to beating her is to pick a strategy that counters Sierra's. Combos: Similar Fighters: Ibuki, Morrigan Stats: Power: 4 Energy: 5 Defense: 5 Speed*: 6 Ratio: 2 Special Moves: Sky Dagger*: Hurls a spinning dagger upwards at a 45 degree angle (H) Dagger Down*: Throws a pair of daggers at different levels straight ahead (A,H) Air Cutter*: A shadowy Sierra drops ahead of the real one with a dagger swipe (H) Basic Throw: Stabs daggers into the enemy's shoulders, leaps over and flips the enemy Bonus: Teleportation, Air Dash, Wall Jump Bonus: Empowered by the Holy dragon, Sierra's normal attacks do Holy damage Launcher: A rising double knife slash Hyper Attacks: Air Blade*: A hyper of Air Cutter. 7 shadows drop in sequence. 14 hits (H) Spinning Dart: Air only. Elazul
The Jumi knight of the Lapis Lazuli. Elazul is a Jumi, a nearly extinct race that is hunted for the beautiful gems that are their core. If the core is taken or damaged, the Jumi will die. Elazul is working with his partner, Pearl, to find a way to restore the Jumi race to their previous glory. Strategy: Elazul fighting style is much like Strider's. Elazul is best played aggressively. Both the Cloak Wing and Lapis Shock attacks can be comboed into many of his attacks. Battle Plan: Like many others, his strengths and weaknesses are not too different. Many of his specials place him out of position or make him pause and wait, leaving him open for countering. Combos: Similar Fighters: Strider, Captain Commando Stats: Power: 4 Energy: 7 Defense: 4 Speed: 6 Ratio: 2 Special Moves: Cloak Wing*: Jumps upward twirling his cloak lined with daggers. Uppercut (A) Pearl Healing*: Assist only. Pearl runs out and heals your player Lapis Shock*: Jumps up a little, throws a ball of energy at the ground. Erupts into a spire (S) Lapis Beam: Fires a thin beam of energy from his core (S) Charge Sword: Elazul charges his sword with Lapis energy. Attacks deal Shock for 10 seconds Basic Throw: Holds the enemy, zapping them with lapis energy (S) Bonus: Rolling Evade, Wall Cling Launcher: A rising sword cut Hyper Attacks: Lazuli Spires*: Like the shock, Elazul throws 4 balls in each direction. Up to 16 hits (S) Laser Cutter: Aims his sword skyward. Bud
The little brother of Lisa. Bud is a little mage who plans to take over the world with an army of pumpkins. Wielding a magical frying pan left to him by his mother, Bud is training to become the best mage in the world. Strategy: Bud is a weakling. His summon abilities are too slow to combo with much of anything. Being ratio 1, Bud isn't good at much of anything. Combos: Similar Fighters: None Stats: Power: 3 Energy*: 5 Defense: 3 Speed: 3 Ratio: 1 Size: S Special Moves: Rising Smash*: Jumps up with a slam with the frying pan Cheer*: Throws his frying pan upward while spinning around. Catches it Gnome Spirit*: Creates a spirit that shoots a wave of energy along the ground (E) Halo Spirit: A ball of light forms over Bud's head and flies at the enemy (H) Basic Throw: Puts a pumpkin in the enemy's pants. It explodes. Thanatos
The big, ugly Lich responsible for the corruption in the Secret of Mana world. After using most of the world's mana power to transform himself into an undead sorcerer, Thanatos tries to take control of the Mana Beast to destroy the world. Strategy: Thanatos's main draw is his damn cool appearance. Other than that, his magical powers and the ability to protect his allies along with the ability to summon small monsters give him a large variety of roles he could fill. Combos: Similar Fighters: Blackheart Stats: Power: 3 Energy: 7 Defense*: 9 Speed: 2 Strength: D Weakness: H Ratio: 2 Special Moves: Lich Hands*: Creates a huge hand and sends it forward. Holds the enemy Pentagram*: A star shape appears above his head and homes in on the enemy Protector Barrel*: Assist only. Puts a barrel on an ally. Cannot attack, but defense + 10, Super Armor Max. 5 seconds. Black Thunder: Throws a bolt of lightning from his fingertip. 4 hits (D) Monstrous Creatures: Summons a monster Basic Throw: Puts the enemy in a Pentagram and does a Drain Attack Bonus Abilities: Teleport Launcher: Punches forward with a pentagram Hyper Attacks: Strange Wrists*: Two skeletal fists rise out of the ground and bolts of dark lightning flash between them. 15 hits (D) Mana Beast: A bird creature swoops down (C) picks up the enemy and drops them with a fiery explosion. 1 hit (F) Drain Life Force: Does a Lich Hand (C) drags to Thanatos, shocks for 7 hits, then Basic Throw (D) Enter: A human guy's skin melts off, revealing a Lich Taunt: Does a dusty laugh, sounding like it comes from a dead guy Victory: Two skeletal hands rise up and vibrate, dusty laugh. Golem
Golems are mechanical war machines that could be built by the player in Legend of Mana. These war-bots can be programmed with AI blocks to define when they attack. These Golems can be incredible fighters if the AI matrix is build correctly. In this game, Golems are controlled directly, so ignore the AI crap. Strategy: The Golems are slow moving with slow moves. His specialty is bizarre moves with a large area of coverage. Although he cannot combo with any of his specials, they are powerful enough to make up for it. Combos: None Similar Fighters: Amingo, Hulitzul, Cable Stats: Power: 6 Energy: 3 Defense*: 8 Speed: 3 Ratio: 2 Size: M Special Moves: Acid Beam*: His chest opens and a beam of acid fires out. Fast and thin, 3 hits Bombardier*: Hops up, drops a black orb, that shatters and sends a wave of flame along the ground. 3 hits (F) Double Bits*: Fires a small satellite into the sky, shoots a lightning bolt to it, and it reflects straight down. 5 hits (S) Mini Golems: Opens his chest and releases a miniature golem. It walks at the enemy for an attack Various Weapons: Golems have longer range due to a variety of chainsaws, hammers, spears, etc. Basic Throw: Uses a large hammer to punch the enemy into the ground Bonus Abilities: Hovering Launcher: A boxing glove punches up from the Golem Hyper Attacks: Bolt Cannon*: Transforms his entire body into a cannon, which fires 15 lightning bolts (S) Dopplegangers: Releases 20 Mini Golems that run forward to attack Enter: Professor Bomb builds a golem from scratch in a few seconds Taunt: Pounds on his chest Victory: Dr Bomb flies on screen and hovers over the Golem. Mana Goddess
The Mana Goddess is the ambiguous force behind the peace and chaos of the world of Mana. She is the Light and the Darkness, the Hope and the Defeat. She loves the world's creatures and yet hates them. Strategy: A fighter with the ability to attack just about anywhere on the screen at any time. The Vines of Wrath can hit the enemy anywhere on the ground, while the beams and the hypers can be used on enemies in the air. With her high defense, the Mana Goddess works well as a defensive fighter. Combos: Similar Fighters: Amingo Stats: Power: 6 Energy: 6 Defense*: 10 Speed: 4 Strength: E Weakness: F Ratio: 3 Size: M Special Moves: The Eclipse: Not a move, but a timer. A moon pic shifts through phases from full to eclipse. Vines of Wrath*: Puts a vine into the ground which stabs upward at a desired distance. (E) Beams*: Fires a weapon attack straight forward. Type depends on the Eclipse counter. Fire forward or up-diagonal. 4 hits Creeping Moss*: Shoots out a volley of seeds. If hit, the enemy is covered with vines and cannot move. Wild Flower: Jumps forward with a downward attack. Overhead Captain Duck/Rabite: Creates a basic creature to attack. Basic Throw: Uses his vines to slam the enemy against the wall Launcher: Thorns pop out of the ground right in front of her Hyper Attacks: Vine Whips*: Flails 4 vines, 2 to each side, for a total of 20 possible hits. (E) Tree of Mana: Causes a magical tree to grow up from under the enemy. 10 hits (E) Mana Eclipse: During a perfect eclipse only. A dark field of energy surrounds the Mana Goddess. 20 hits (D)(A) Mana Flare: During a perfect full moon only. She sweeps her arms and a giant light beam shoots down at an angle. 5 hits (H)(A) Enter: A large moon goes into an eclipse and the Mana Goddess drops out Taunt: Raises her arms and a random spirit of mana (Salamando, Gnome, Sift,etc) appears Victory: The mana tree grows from the enemy's body Top |
