Characteristics:

The characteristics of autism occur in a wide variety of areas, such as major impairments in communication, socialization, and imagination.

Other characteristic connected with Autism may include the use of repetitive activities, stereotypical movements (usually referred to as ticks, such as arm flapping), resistance to change in their environment or their daily activities, and the unusual responses to sensory experiences (Brock, Stephen, and Jimerson, 2006).
