The Turtle Clan was formed in 2005 in order to compete in local video game tournaments at a local libray.  It was founded by TurtlePerson2.  That is why it is called Turtle Clan.  Although Turtle Clan originally started to compete in console games it branched out into other types of gaming namely, PC gaming.  The Turtle Clan is now primarily an America's Army clan, but still competes at the local tournaments.

Turtle Clan now competes mainly on the TeamWarfare League (TWL).
